Evan Wilson's POV

My attention was drawn towards my mate when I heard a soft, pain-filled moan reach my ears.

I watched her struggle to open her eyes, a sign that she was regaining consciousness. It was a relief, knowing she might be alright.

Firstly, I needed to make sure she was okay. Secondly, I had so many questions about how she managed to trespass into my territory.

After some more effort, her beautiful brown eyes finally opened, causing my heart to race uncontrollably. It was strange, but her eyes seemed to stir something deep within me, erasing all doubts and worries that had plagued my mind before.

Right now, I didn't want to ask anything other than whether she was feeling fine or not. She appeared weak and stressed, looking at me with fearful eyes.

And rightfully so, she had every reason to be scared. She was unfamiliar with me and must have known that entering my pack's territory made her vulnerable.
