The Meeting

"You look lovely," he complimented with a smile.

She smiled back. "Thank you. And you...you don't look too bad yourself," she glanced at his appearance, admiring every aspect of him.

Laurie couldn't help but appreciate his handsome, masculine features and the way his shirt hugged him perfectly. She could even see the defined muscles beneath the fabric and catch a hint of his cologne. He looked so refreshing and inviting.

"I hope you're doing well?" she asked, trying not to appear too eager, though her eyes couldn't help but linger on him hungrily.

He exhaled slowly, avoiding her gaze. "Yes, I am," he lied, trying to maintain a calm facade. A small smile helped to cover up the lie he told.

She nodded. "Well, there's something I have to give you," she said, reaching into her handbag. Their conversation was interrupted by a waiter who came to take their order.

She smiled politely at the waiter. "Can you give us a minute, please?"

The waiter nodded and left the two of them alone. She picked up the menu and scanned it. "Would you like to try something new today?"

Landon chuckled, perusing the list of dishes. "I'll have whatever you're having," he responded. "But I would also like to have a drink to accompany it."

He hoped that a drink would help to calm his nerves and make their meeting more enjoyable. Ever since she had called him, he had been feeling tense, anticipating their meeting.

He noticed her hand tremble for a moment before she shifted her gaze from the menu to his face. "Please don't," her tone was stern, and Landon found himself swallowing nervously and nodding his head in agreement.

For the first time since they sat down, he heard a tremor in her voice...just like old times.

Her hand instinctively rose to her neck, where a faded bruise served as a reminder of her fear for him.

Landon let out a heavy exhale, the pain evident on his face. "Darling, I..."

"Don't apologize. We've both moved on by now," she replied with a tight smile, not wanting to reopen the wound that was slowly fading. She didn't want to talk about it, especially not with him.

He shook his head and sighed. Deep down, he still loved her and wanted her back in his life. But their time together had been filled with misunderstandings and fights, some of which turned into hurtful and unnecessary fists of emotions.

Their last fight had left her scarred for life, causing her to seek solace in the arms of Alex, her doctor who had now become her boyfriend.

"How's Alex?" Landon asked, not really caring about the answer. He just wanted to change the subject and distract her from her thoughts. He wanted their conversation to go back to the way it was when she walked into the restaurant, when they hugged and shared a genuine smile.

"Oh, he's doing well. He's been really busy, you know how demanding the life of a doctor can be," she chuckled, the thought of her fiance making her smile and warm her heart. She felt fortunate to have him in her life, to feel loved, protected and cherished.

"Is he better for you than I was?" Landon asked, noticing the smile on her face and feeling his blood boil. He should be the one making her happy, not some man who claims to be a doctor.

"Landon, I... I don't think we should talk about this right now," Laurie's expression fell as she nervously swallowed, not wanting to go through this with him again.

The waiter returned to take their order, sensing the tense atmosphere at their table as he gave them a suspicious look. He hurried to take their order, seemingly not wanting to get involved in what seems like an incoming argument.

Landon's grip on the situation was slipping, and he couldn't help but wonder if she would ever confront the issue. For five long months, he attempted to bring it up, but she adamantly refused. Even now, sitting here in front of him, she refused to discuss it.

"I love you," he blurted out, unapologetically. It was now or never. He had learned from his mistakes, realizing what he had lost and the emptiness and depression that consumed him after their separation. He wanted her back in his life, to live with him, to be loved by him, to make her happy, and to give her everything she desired.

"What?" Laurie exclaimed, shock written all over her face. Her worst fears were coming to fruition right before her eyes.

"I said I love you, i still fucking love you, I'm still crazy inlove with you" Landon repeated, his gaze meeting hers to convey his sincerity.

"Landon, I..." Laurie trailed off, tearing her eyes away from his.

"Why are you making this so difficult, Laurie? I know you still love me. Isn't it time for us to put the past behind us?" Landon asked, his frustration reaching its peak. He couldn't understand why she refused to give him one more chance. The years they spent together should mean something to her.

Didn't she miss him? His touch? His voice? His cock? Most importantly, his cock! How she loved it when he was inside her, taking her to new heights of pleasure. Did she not miss their lovemaking, the way he pleasured her, the way he brought her to orgasm? Did she not miss his voice, his touch, his lips? How could she simply remove him from her life like that?

He acknowledged that he had not been good enough for her during their marriage. It was a toxic relationship, with hot and intense sex one moment and a heated argument the next. But he had changed for the better and wanted her back now.

His blood boiled at the thought of Alex making love to her, fucking her. It repulsed him to think of her enjoying Alex's cock, asking him to fuck her just like Landon did.

"I did," she admitted. "And please lower your voice."
