Reckoning of the purple moon

POV: Ivory Wells They say Life is perfect when you are young and in love. Would I have ever thought that I would ever lose Darrel? Nah, not in my wildest dreams.. “We have arrived,My love.” He said, parking in front of the hotel that would be used to host my Birthday. I sat still in the car, willing the anxiousness inside of me to be gone. I sighed and alighted from the car. Darrel took my hands and squeezed it reassuringly. I sighed. Here goes nothing. “Happy Eighteenth Birthday, Ivory Wells!!” I heard screams and camera flashes and I smiled. My girlfriends, Candy and Tiara walked up to me and handed me a birthday gift. “We love you, Ivory.” They both chorused and I smiled. “Thanks girls.” I said and we all hugged each other. Darrel held my hands and kissed it, and I smiled. “I’ve got a surprise for you.” He whispered in my ears and I smiled at him. Darrel and I had been in a relationship since I was 13, and he was Fifteen years old. I had my parents, Darrel, who was the son

POV: Ivory Wells. I woke up on Monday morning feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new week. Last week was a successful investigation and I was proud of myself for the hard work I had put in. As I got dressed, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as I thought about how far I had come in my career. I got into my car and made my way to work, turning on some upbeat music to psyche myself up for the day ahead. As I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed my boss, Mr. Johnson, waiting for me. He looked serious, and I wondered what was going on. "Good morning, Ivory," Mr. Johnson said as I approached him. "Good morning, Mr. Johnson. Is everything alright?" "Yes, everything's fine. I just wanted to give you this." He handed me a pale yellow envelope with no return address. I looked at the envelope suspiciously. "What is it?" "It's from Darrel. The same guy that has been sending Numerous Letters, for over a year now." Mr. Johnson said, his expression neutral. And I sighed

POV: Darrel Williams. I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Ivory had always been a calm and collected person, never one to lash out at anyone, let alone kids. But that's exactly what happened. At least that was what Hardin told me. "It's not like her," he said, his voice low and concerned."Ivory has always been great with kids, even the ones she's never known before." "You mean to tell me that Ivory lashed out at a kid? That's not like her at all," I asked. "I know, that's why I'm so confused." He replied and I sighed "I know, that's what's so strange about all of this," I replied, feeling frustrated and confused. "Wait a minute," I said suddenly, a note of realization creeping into my voice. "What happened before she lashed out?" “Her face was drained of colour, the moment I told her that Jeremy was your son.” Hardin said and I sighed in confusion. “There’s something we still haven’t figured out yet. We need to do that, else we won’t be able to understand the reas

POV: Ivory Wells. My past seemed to be imposing itself upon me from every conceivable direction. Whenever I had the impression that I had conquered my suffering, something would take place that would immediately bring me back into experience. The advent of Darrel's kid, Jeremy, at this time, caused the old scars that I had believed had healed to become exposed. I couldn't help but think back on the night that everything in my world fell apart as I sat in my living room. Darcy, my sweet girl, died from her sickness that evening. It was a miserable development that her disease had kept her from making every moment count and from developing and flourishing like different messes with her age. It was difficult to ignore the recollection since it was still so vivid, like an open wound that would never heal. I could see that she was petite in stature, and her eyes were really beautiful, gazing up at me with a youthful curiosity. After that, she vanished, taken away from me by a tragic tur

POV: Jeremy Williams. As I dug more into the riddle of my origins, it felt like the universe was changing, like sand passing through my fingers. My view of reality grew further distorted with every discovery, leaving me to cling to a sense of security amid a tornado of doubt. The person in the epicenter of this tempest was Ivory Wells, a woman who had looked at me with contempt and hatred at first. But as the days stretched into weeks, a change started to occur. I saw glimmers of a softer side to her, a fragility that spoke to depths of suffering and grief I could hardly imagine. During those moments when Ivory's guard was down, she revealed a different facet of herself to me, a side that exuded kindness, sympathy, and a fiercely protective nature, qualities that resonated deeply within me. Moreover, I gradually realized an inexplicable pull towards her, a connection that intensified as our paths intertwined further and deeper. "Jeremy," she would remark in a firm yet gentle tone,
