Chapter 73 - Back Home

It's early evening when I walk into our bedroom. Shalom is lying in bed looking gorgeous. It still blows my mind that I come home to this woman. I am in awe of her beauty every single day.

"How was your day?" I ask walking to her side of the bed. I  kiss her on her forehead and take a moment to look at her. Her eyes have this sparkle about them. I recognize the look in her eyes because I have the same look when I look at her.  

"It was interesting." She says kissing me on the lips. She places her hand on my cheek and brushes it slowly. 

"How so?" I ask moving to sit next to her. 

"I ran into Thomas at the spa." She says and I feel the air leave my lungs in a woosh. That's not the answer I was looking for. I expected her to say that she had the best time of her life and she wants to make this a regular thing. I didn't expect exes to come into the picture.
