Timothy's POV

"I'm thinking white roses with touches of gold," Sophia says, spreading fabric samples across my kitchen table carefully . "Classic, elegant, but not too traditional."

I nod and take another gulp of coffee, the bitter taste matching my mood. We've been at this for two hours, and I've lost track of how many decisions I've supposedly helped make.

"What about the venue?" she continues, flipping through a thick binder. "The Grand Ballroom downtown holds three hundred, or we could do the ceremony at Moonlight Lake if we want something more intimate."

"Whatever you prefer," I say, staring into my coffee cup.

She looks up, her perfectly styled eyebrows pulling together in frustration. "Timothy, you need to have opinions about our wedding."

"I do have opinions," I reply defensively.

"Name one." Her voice sharpens with challenge.

Timothy's POV "Very few nights of freedom left !" Ethan shouts over the pounding music, raising his beer bottle high. "In 1 week you become a married man!" The bachelor party is in full swing at Havoc, the most exclusive club in the city. Ethan went all out VIP section, premium liquor, and enough attractive she-wolves to stock a modeling agency. Everyone expects me to go out with a bang, to make my night of bachelorhood memorable. Instead, I feel like I'm watching someone else's life play out in front of me. "Timothy!" Jake stumbles over with a brunette hanging off his arm. "You need to loosen up, man. This is supposed to be fun!" I take another sip of whiskey and try to look like I'm enjoying myself. The music is too loud, the lights are too bright, and every woman who approaches me looks identical perfect hair, perfect makeup, perfect willingness to help me "celebrate." "Dance with me," a redhead purrs, sliding onto the couch beside me. She's gorgeous in that generic, club-rea

  • Rejected By My Hockey Alpha   Chapter 39 - Waiting for Justice

Penelope's POVI don't sleep for the rest of the night. By the time my alarm goes off at six, I'm already dressed and pacing my room like a caged animal. The revelation about Dad, about Marcus Blackthorn's lies, burns in my chest.I need to tell someone before I explode.Isla's always been an early riser, but even she looks surprised when I knock on her door at 6:30 AM with coffee and pastries from the campus café."Either someone died or you have major gossip," she says, opening her door wider to let me in. Her hair is pulled back in a messy bun, and she's already in workout clothes."Both," I say, setting the coffee on her desk. "Well, not literally dead. But close."She takes one look at my face and sits down on her bed, patting the spot next to her. "Okay, spill. What happened?"I perch on the edge of her mattress, my hands shaking as I pick at the coffee cup lid. "My mom called last night. She told me something that changes everything.""About Timothy?" Isla asks, her voice caref

Penelope's POVMy phone rings at 12:47 AM, jolting me out of restless sleep. Mom's name flashes on the screen, and my heart immediately goes into panic mode. She never calls this late unless something's wrong."Mom?" I answer quickly, my voice hoarse from sleep. "What's happened?"The sound that comes through the phone makes my blood freeze. She's crying not just tears, but the kind of broken sobbing I haven't heard since the day i left Frostfang territory."Mom, you're scaring me," I say, sitting up in bed and gripping the phone tighter. "What's going on?""I should have told you years ago," she chokes out between ragged breaths. "I should have fought back, should have protected you from all of this.""Told me what?" My heart pounds against my ribs. "Mom, please, just breathe and tell me what's wrong."There's a long pause filled with shaky breathing. When she speaks again, her voice is different harder, angrier."Your father didn't steal those pack funds, Penelope," she says with bi

Penelope's POV"We did it!" Isla shrieks, launching herself at me as the final buzzer sounds. The scoreboard shows 4-2, and we're officially heading to the territorial championships. The crowd goes wild, our teammates pile on top of each other, and I can barely breathe through the excitement."Undefeated season, baby!" Jake yells, ripping off his helmet.Coach Gray tries to look stern, but I catch him wiping his eyes. "All right, all right," he barks. "Settle down. We've got work to do before championships."But nobody's settling down. This is the first time in fifteen years that our team made it to territoriales. We're making history.Later, in the locker room, the celebration continues. Someone brought champagne that fizzes all over the floor. Music blasts from somebody's phone, and everyone's talking at once about the upcoming tournament."Three weeks to get ready," Isla says, sitting beside me on the bench. "Think you can actually win this thing?""Maybe," I say, still in disbelie

  • Rejected By My Hockey Alpha   Chapter 35 - Engagement Party Hell

Timothy's POVThe champagne tastes terrible but I force another smile as Uncle Roy claps me on the shoulder. "About time you settled down, boy," he says, his breath reeking of whiskey. "Sophia's is a real catch.""Thanks," I mutter, taking another gulp of champagne.Sophia appears at my elbow like she's been summoned. Her hand slides around my arm with practiced ease. "Darling, the photographer wants more shots by the fireplace.""Of course he does." I let her guide me through the crowd of pack members and allies. The engagement party fills our main hall to capacity. Everyone who matters in territorial politics showed up to witness the union of two powerful bloodlines. The decorations scream money and status white roses imported from human territories. My father holds court near the bar. He's in his element, making deals and cementing alliances while I play the role of dutiful son. Every few minutes, his eyes find mine across the room. The message is clear: smile, perform, don't emba
