“Why? Why does he want to see me?”
“I'm afraid I don't have answers to that. But I'm certain Mr Blackwood will explain when you meet him in person.” Dante steps aside and notions her to come into the back seat of the car he had just walked out of. She scans them quietly, the security around the family house is tight, they wouldn't have let them in unless they've been verified. Thea took one step after the other, down the plight of stairs and settled in the backseat of the SUV while Dante shut the door. If this is how she's going to get kidnapped, this better be it but strangely, her danger alert wasn't going off. But she wouldn't miss the chance to tell off the bastard who ru8ned her life! The ride started and continued the silence for what felt like forever. They drove past several streets and estates.. She was starting to wonder when they would get to their destination. Or is this really a kidnap like she had suspected? It doesn't even matter. Her father already disowned her, they won't get a penny from him. Thea sends her live location to Daisy in case things go south.. “We are here.” The driver said and d Dante opened the door for Thea. She stepped out of the car to see they were in front of the most elite building in the entire city. The gemstone. Not even her family, the Balmeros could secure a membership in this club.. The only way to get in is if you know its owner! And how do you find its owner , you might ask? Mission impossible! According to rumours, the only way to get a membership into Gemstone is by being one of the top billionaires in the country! Her family wasn't close to that. “Shall we?” Dante asked, leading the way He led her through the magnificence building that was over twenty stories tall with over a hundred different clubs to partake in. Dante kept pushing forward, heading towards the MVP section. Even this luxurious club had its MVP section, reserved for the top three wealthy ones in the country. They got into the elevator and rode in silence for another two minutes before finally arriving in a huge swimming area. Thea scanned the room which hadn't least twenty attendants who clearly work for the Gemstone, at beck and call. Their uniforms were well tailored and not a strand of hair out of place! Their heads were bowed and posture straight, they were no different from statues. Who is this man she's here to meet? “Please, have a seat. Mr Blackwood will attend to you shortly..” Dante said, gesturing at the little sitting area next to the pool with a shivering center table. Thea takes a seat as instructed and watches Dante leave the room. She exhales, her heart pounding in her chest. What could he possibly want from her? No. She's here to tell him off! He took advantage of her, she is well within her rights to demand some serious answers from him. Thea straightens up, she might not be a Balmero anymore but she hasn't lost her dignity yet! She will demand answers from him and make sure he realises how much damage he has caused in her life! The pool water next to her began to move and curiously, she turns towards it, staring into the deep blue water. There was someone in there but she couldn't tell who it was. Barely seconds into her curiosity, Seth Blackwood swam out of the water, dripping wet from head to toe. Theas breath seized momentarily. He's so…..dreamy. Maybe she was too out of it last night to realise how built and sexy he was! But damn! Her eyes went down to his veiny hands. He had clamped them around her neck and made her look at how beautiful she looked in the mirror that night. Seth grabs one of the towels handed to him by one of the attendants, wiping his face off before his eyes settle on Thea intensely. She looked away, her face flustered beyond reason.. How the hell is she supposed to confront him if he looks this hot? Like a freaking sex god! A Greek god even! “Thea” he asked, walking towards the sitting area. “Yes.” She said, meeting his gaze stubbornly. Why should she look away? He was the one who should be embarrassed. But she is met with an expressionless face and a cold demeanour. “Why am I here?” She asked. She saw a glimmer of surprise in his eyes but it quickly vanished. “I was expecting your call. When I got nothing..” He paused, staring down at her lips. It felt so good but Thea remained focused, unbothered by him. “I had to track you.” he said, finally meeting her eyes once more. How the hell did he find her anyway? She didn't tell him her name either but he seems to have found out anyway.. “Is this what you do to every woman you have a one night stand with? Thea asked. Seth leans away from her. “I've never done that. No.” Thea chuckled. “You took advantage of me and you think you could just get me down here to tell me you tracked me down?” Seth taps a brown envelope that was on the table the whole time. “What is it?” she asked “Open it.” “Get to the reason why I'm here or I'll walk.” Thea said, gritting her teeth. She had no reason to be nice to this man! He pretty much ruined her life! Why the hell was he even in her hotel room to begin with? Seth paused. “You didn't seem this confrontational last night.” “Maybe because I was drugged and way out of it to question why you were in my room in the first place!” She snapped. “Do you intend to blame me for the hotel's mistake? Or you being out of it?” Thea chuckled in disbelief. “What happened last night ruined my life! My fiancée cancelled our wedding and my family disowned me and you're just going to stand there and act nonchalant?” Seth shrugs. “Yes I can.” Thea’s brows furrowed even deeper! He's an asshole and he wasn't even trying to hide it. “I'm done here.” She picks up her phone and heads towards the exit. “Marry me.”Thea’s heart hammered against her ribs, did she hear that right? It felt surreal, like totally a dream and she'd wake up anytime soon. The water felt cool on her skin, the sun was hot and his grip around her was firm too. It wasn't a dream, it's all true.Thea pulled away from him, her eyes scanning his face as though in search of the distant man from this morning but Seth felt different. It looked different. "You remember?" she echoed, her voice betraying her. Seth's gaze remained fixed on her. "Yes,.""And this morning?" she pressed, her arms crossed over her chest, the water beading on her skin. "Ignoring me? Is that part of remembering?”He looked away for a moment, his jaw tightening. "I wasn't ignoring you.""You weren't?" she challenged, her voice firm. “What was it then?” she asked.“It's complicated.” He said simply.Thea sighed, she had enough of this. She turns to leave but Seth pulls her back, his arm firm around her wrist. “It was a reaction.” “To what? To admitting the
Hours had gone by since Thea and Daisy had breakfast. They were able to cook up something really nice and give Celine a taste. The old woman was duly surprised by how good the meal tasted. It might be in rivalry to her personal chef who happens to be the best in the city. After a few minutes of chatting with Celine, the girls decided to head to the waterfall. It was a hot afternoon, the sun was shining down just right and it would be the perfect time for a little swim in that water. “Arian.” Thea called. Hes been sitting be the dinning table, a plate of Athens homemade pasta on his face. He had stick arpund to see what they made amd jusgj9nv by how he stuffed his face, he loved ot too.“Daosy and I want to check put the waterfall now.” Arian swallowed the last bit of pasta on his plate, f8ghting the urge yo ask if she would make more of this later.“Sure.” Arian finished up and was soon ready to show them the most beautiful part of the entire resort. “I would have loved to come w
Thea walked towards the main lodge, her fist clenched in annoyance. How could he say those things, kiss her so passionately and then pretend nothing happened?! After being so tender and gentle with her last night, he's going to act this way? Maybe she should give up. Seth is never going to admit it. Hell, how sure is she that he even feels anything for her? She spotted Daisy and Celine sitting on a plush couch by the fireplace, a pot of tea and some pastries on the low table between them. And standing across from Celine is a man dressed in a suit, a butler most likely. And behind him, Thea could see the queue of attendants behind him, luggage in hand. Thea exhaled, pushing back her frustrations as she walked closer to them. “Good morning Celine. Daisy.” Thea offered, forcing a small smile. “Thea!” Daisy called as soon as she laid eyes on her, a smile on her face. “I was just about to come look for you. We were worried when you didn't show up for breakfast."Thea offered a weak
Thea woke to the soft sound of a bird chirping just outside the window. The sun streamed into the cabin, bathing the room in a golden light. She stirred, a content smile gracing her lips as she recalled the events of the night before. The kiss… it was everything she had hoped for and more. She reached her hand out, searching for Seth’s body, but her fingers found only empty sheets. Her eyes fluttered open, he was gone. Thea sits up, eyes scanning the room. It was quiet, she was the only one in the cabin, that much is certain. The space beside her was cold, it was nothing compared to the warmth of his body last night. She sank back into the bed, her mind drifting back to the long night in bed. After the kiss, Seth wanted to head back to the sofa after wishing her a good night.Thea wanted him next to her and he agreed. They simply got in bed, hands still intertwined. Seth had just stared at her, a look of profound concentration on his face. He had run his fingers through her hair,
“I'm exhausted. I need to go to bed.” Daisy announced, getting out of her seat.“Me too,” Arian adds. “I think Celine has something planned for tomorrow." Thea pulled away from Seth, her warmth leaving his body instantly. He wanted to pull her back in, he wanted this to last just a little bit longer. Seth glanced at his wristwatch and sighed, it was pretty late.“It's past midnight,” he announced.“Yup! That's my cue. See you all later, I guess.” Arian said, getting out of the seat. “Goodnight,” Daisy announced, a yawning escaping her mid-sentence. They all made their way to their separate cabins. They had fun hanging out with each other but it was time to rest. Thea and Seth were left to walk back to their cabin alone in silence, something she was starting to dread. Thea shuts her eyes as she takes careful steps through the grass, a feeling of content washing over her. She didn't have to think about her problems; she left them at the entrance to the resort, and it felt amazing.
Seth's eyes met Thea's, a look of surprise in his eyes. He had expected that she wanted to get the day over with. She had to play couple in front of Celine and everyone else, she probably wanted to give it a rest but that doesn't seem to be the case. "Another round doesn't sound bad."Seth's eyes remained fixed on her almost like he was trying to read her mind but he couldn't figure out anything. He looks from Thea to Daisy, then to Arian, who is already grinning, a mischievous glint in his eyes."We're going to bed," Seth says again, his voice firm."I'm not tired," Thea replies simply, meeting his gaze without flinching. "It's a beautiful night, and I want to enjoy it."Arian pulls out a few more cans of beer from a cooler nearby. "Looks like it's settled then," he says, handing one to Daisy. "Two against one, Seth. You're outnumbered." He smirked.Seth looks at Thea, searching her face for any sign of a joke, but she is serious. He sighs, maybe she does want to enjoy the trip and
