"I want you"
I bit down harder on my lower lip, the cut of my teeth digging through the soft of my flesh, threatening to burst it open, but I didn't stop.
My lips could heal with ointments, but I would never be able to take back my words.
I had been in a situation with my father-in-law the last time I was in his room. He had made it clear that I shouldn't want him.
Pushing it like this would get me in trouble with Eddy. Not just Eddy, Freddy too, and Connor would laugh it over.
My head banged with the intensity of a hammer slammed repeatedly against an iron bar, sparks flying in every direction, sparks that only meant trouble.
"Are you okay?" he asked in an open tone waiting for an answer, but I wouldn't even open my eyes.
"I will get you water," he finished, a scurry following.
My breathing became heavier.
I wasn't sure what would happen if he came closer to me, but it seemed like he had to if he wanted to hand me the water.
I felt a cold breeze, momentary, merciless against my skin. My stomach dipped when he took my hand in his.
"You're burning up, Lola," he acknowledged calmly.
My fingers were stiff as he dropped the glass of warm water into my palm, catching my fingers and pressing them tight against the cup.
He smelled like sweat and clean soap, a dangerous combination to what I felt at the moment.
"Drink up," he urged, pushing my hand gently up to my mouth.
As I drank from the glass, I struggled to keep my head straight, from imagining how better my mouth would have worked on his length.
My toes twitched against each other when his leg swiped lightly against mine.
I inhaled deeply, taking in the emotions that had pooled enormously in my stomach.
Exhaling shakily, I wanted just one thing — to fall back on the bed, spread my legs wide and dig through my rose, moaning to the scene the pleasure would fuel in my head.
I felt his breathing light against my face, and it fanned my arousal to a point where I couldn't take it anymore.
"You feel better?" he asked.
"I need to take my leave," I burst out, my breathing heavy like I had just finished a marathon.
I wasn't sure how much longer I would last alone with him, so urgently, I pushed off his hand as he tried to check my temperature and sprinted across the room for the door.
It was such a sudden dramatic pull. I expected him to be too stunned to speak and he was. Who wouldn't be?
By the time the door came shut after me, I was still scared of fighting my own emotions by going back in there and throwing myself shamelessly at my father-in-law.
I didn't waste more than a second on catching my breath before hurrying farther away, towards the stairs, my head banging to the open thoughts my crazy desires couldn't fill.
I just wanted to be sprawled flat, my p*ssy open to the cold as I eased the painful throbbing with my fingers, the object, whatever, because I was running out of breath and my orgasm wasn't helping.
My body toggled from corner to corner, sweat dripping down my stomach through the bridge between my br*asts.
My vision must have been blurry, because suddenly, I slammed into a figure, stopping abruptly in my tracks, my mind beating faster as I hoped it wasn't who I was thinking.
"Disgusting!" Eddy muttered casually but with a certain heaviness that hinted at how much he meant every beat of that word.
Standing face to face with Eddy at this moment was the worst timing I had ever had to experience.
I watched him give me a full gaze down, his eyes judging cruelly even before his mouth spoke.
"Excuse me," I muttered, narrowing my body to pass by his side as he was standing right in the middle of the staircase.
"You should be ashamed of yourself," he spoke again, the words dropping in my head like timer bombs about to be detonated.
"You think running your mouth to my father would save you?"
Eddy stared down hard at me, his eyes glistening with pure disgust, one would wonder what I ever did for him to hate the sight of me this much.
I swallowed, forcing myself to be calm in front of this storm threatening to take me whole and merciless.
I couldn't deny that I didn't just come out of his father's room, but my mind was racing unbelievably fast, I felt my legs would give away if he mentioned something about how I felt.
"I need to be upstairs right now," I managed, biting down on my teeth right after.
"You should be ashamed of yourself," he fired, immediately rendering my efforts useless.
I opened my mouth to say something, but no word made it out of my thoughts.
Suddenly, my legs felt too weak to hold up my weight, I felt myself drowning, so I reached for the part of the railing closest to me and fell against it.
"Of course," Eddy said mockingly, throwing his hands demonstrating in the air.
"Even your own body is tired of you."
I was quiet, but my entire body shook with fear.
Eddy's words always dealt me a heavy pang, but he wasn't keeping it low, and I wasn't prepared for how messy it would get if Connor or Freddy heard him.
I wanted to keep my dignity, my confidence, with Connor and Freddy, at least, but Eddy was doing everything possible to bring me to dust.
"Shouldn't you be worried every time you wake up in this same state?"
Tears jabbed at my eyelids, causing me to throw my head back. I would never cry in front of Eddy. Not again.
Instead, I allowed my weight to pull on my knees until they were pressing into the cold tiles of the sitting room.
"Please, Eddy. Don't do this," my voice was shaky, and my breathing clung to my throat.
"You deserve everything you are getting, Lola. You shouldn't have married me."
His voice was firm. His stance was final. I gagged for more air.
"But you can still save your pity a*s," his face lit up with a taunting smile.
"Connor isn't leaving soon. You still have a chance.”
EDDYI had intentionally not told Lola about the menu for tonight. For some reason, I felt like she would pull up another drama and draw everyone's attention to herself in a desperate bid to escape her fate.I made sure her outfit was taunting enough, and didn't bother to listen to her excuses for a change. As she sat there, on the other side of the stage, looking lost like a wet duck, my mind tingled with the excitement of what was about to unfold.I had my eyes on her up until I had to look away, and by the time my eyes returned to where she was supposed to be still sat, she was gone. For a second, the fear of missing out on the most fun that could ever come out of tonight's show rippled through my body.My first instinct was to call Connor, but that motherf*cker was still in my books as yet to be taught a lesson.I didn't want to give him a heads up especially if it was just that Lola took a rest room walk.I decided to sit in my seat, and wait for the events of the evening to slow
LOLAIt was cold.I'd rather be sleeping as it was quite late too, but I wouldn't dare go against Eddy's order.Sitting in a corner of the medium-sized room with dim colored lights flickering on and off, I allowed my mind get lost in the way the other guests walked around silently, their fingers clipped to the tail of tall wine glasses, their gaze steady like they were actually meditating on the low Italian music that rumbled gently out of the speakers in the background.I tried to figure out what their expectations were from their outfits — shiny, casual, skimpy. It looked like whatever was going to be done tonight would be focused on the women.I swallowed, but making sure my expression fell back to the default "happy wife" smile. The world must not know how much I have to bear standing by Eddy's side as his wife. I had to protect Eddy's reputation at all costs. The pangs of pain from still being trapped in a marriage that felt more like prison clawed at my chest.I threw my head ba
FREDDY"How could she do this to me?" I screamed on top of my voice, slamming my hand hard into the wall in front of me, the content of the dressing table rattling to the sudden disturbance.I was furious, especially after what happened with Lola last night.I knew she was hiding something, but it was so difficult figuring it out.My fingers moved unhindered through the fullness of my hair, my body unable to contain my emotions."You're damned, Freddy. You're so f*cking damned," I screamed some more into the wall, expecting no response but my emotions getting terribly bursted when I couldn't get a response. My eyes wobbled in their sockets as I scanned the entire room for the slightest bit of peace, calm. Nothing.I grabbed the collar of the sweatshirt I had changed into, hoping I'd run a few laps, but getting weakened to my bones after seeing Lola like that this morning."Why aren't you even talking? What is so damn hard to tell me about?" My voice clashed heavily against my breathi

LOLAI froze, every bone of my body crashing with shock.Greg was standing there — under the stairs, the turn that led to his room. From where I stood, I could see him in full view — from his hair which was neatly slacked back, too good to believe that he had just woken up, to his toes which were hidden behind a pair of grey stockings. He was wearing a pair of long soft long cotton trousers and a clean white shirt, his hands folded across his chest and his expression bland, as if I was invisible standing there.Subconsciously, my eyes blinked up the stairs, my brain checking to see if there were more surprises for the morning. The stairs were empty and silence echoed off its rails. I swallowed the shock that was lingering around my chest.Straightening my back, I turned to Greg again, but almost immediately, as if he was waiting for me before he made a departure, he turned around, and continued to walk farther away until the soft latch of his door on its hinges confirmed that I was al
LOLAMy neck still ached from last night.I knew Freddy could be brutal whenever we were in bed and he had the upper hand.Once, he had slammed continuously into me until my p*ssy became swollen and painful around his length, because I wouldn't tell him what was bothering me.Moments like that were painful, but thrilling as well — like a pain that sparks off pleasure. He was like that last night, but it had ended badly — he wasn't able to get the truth out of me.I wasn't sure how he felt after trying to the point where he had to give up because, I obviously wouldn't mind breaking a neck from holding an uncomfortable posture as long as I protect the truth.Freddy mustn't know how my marriage with Eddy had been for the past two years. Freddy mustn't know how ridiculously foolish I was to dump him for Eddy because of a little pressure and a no assurance promise of a better life."You're unbelievable!" he had snorted, not bothering to spare me a glance after he climbed off the bed, voic
