chapter 4

Elina pov:

I stand in the arrival looking around for Ezra. I couldn't find him, I called him which he didn't answer and I send text asking where he was, he sent me back a text telling me to meet him outside, as i arrive outside the building of the airport to where cars are packed I looked around the small crowd for Ezra, I was about to send a text asking him where he was until I saw him, Kieran.

He was coming right in front of me but he stopped, he stopped as if he was fighting himself. I was shocked to see him, Ezra didn't tell him right?. He stands there clad in black, looking like a bad boy biker. What was I thinking? He has always been a bad boy biker. He looks more matured, more matured than the 23 year old young alpha to be.

We stood there, staring at each which felt like ages. I look away and turn around to walk away, I am sure he wasn't here for me or I hope he wasn't here for, I also wish he was here for me.

“Elina!, Elina!, wait up” I heard him call, I stopped in my tracks, he walked to me, closer. too close.

“ I am here to pick you up,” he said. I turned around to face him but my face almost bump into his chest, I felt Elle purred as I inhale his scents.

“ I will take a taxi” I said awkwardly, I tried to walk away fast. I wasn't ready to see him or face, but some part of me wanted me to fall into his arms, while the other part of me reminded me he has a mate and I just rejected my own mate.

“No, no. Hold on” he said softly, holding my wrist, I held my breath as I turned back to him.

“ Thanks Alpha Kieran and I am sorry for letting you come all the way to the airport, but I can find my way back to the pack” I said, I removed my wrist from his hand.

“Could you listen for a minute Elina, I know I am the last person you wanted to see. But for old times sake please let me take you home” he pleaded, I stared right into his cold blue eyes, I watched as they softened and begged as he stared back at me. I bet he still thinks of me as a little sister, I bit my lower lip as my stomach churn, I hate this feeling.

“Ezra was supposed to pick me up, is he here?” I asked looking over his shoulder to see if my brother was nearby.

“No, he is not. Lina, his mate, is heavily pregnant, so he had to stay with her incase there is an emergency” he explained nervously, I watched as he scratched the back of his head, then he smiled and continued.

“ He didn't tell me you were coming. I..I..l overhead you guys talking, so I offered to pick you up”.

I had never seen Kieran this nervous, I stared in small surprise. I nodded my head not knowing how to reply. I wanted to ask if his mate Naya wouldn't mind him taking me home, but I didn't want to sound too forward. I know he saw that I was about to refuse.

“Please, please Elina. Let me” he begged.

“Okay, Alpha Kieran. I really appreciate” I said. I agreed only because we have been standing there too long and people are already giving us attention and that attention I don't want.

“ Please don't call me Alpha, E. Please call me by my name or Kier like you use too please.” he said. I stared at him surprised, but I didn't say anything and I didn't smile.

“Where are your luggages” he asked as he looked around us for the luggages.

“I didn't pack any,” I answered, moving forward. “Where is the car?” I asked.

“ Oh hold on” he said as he texted someone on his phone. “ Now let go” he offered his hand but I didn't take it, he put back his hand in his pocket.

“This way” he said, we walked to where cars were parked but we stopped at the front of a bike.

“Where is the car?” I asked.

“No, we are riding the bike. I brought an extra helmet” he answered.

“I am not getting on that. What would your mate think…” I asked. The bike brings memories and feelings that I have buried.

“Lina is making dinner, she is excited to meet you, you don't want to miss out” he smiled as he ignored what I said.

“Hand it over” I said, pointing to the extra helmet on his bike. He picks it up and tries to put it on for me, I move back and take it from his hand and wear it.

He stood still for a second because of my refusal, he sat on the bike wearing his helmet.

“ Get on, it's going to be long ride” he said

I sat behind him, but not closely. “You should hold me if you don't want to fly off the bike,” he said.

I didn't listen to him, he started the bike slowly, then he started speeding, I held on to him tightly as I almost fell off the bike. His smell was calmly and dominant, Elle purred and I smiled mentally. Until Elle said something confusing. ‘Mate’.

‘Mate is so warm’ she purred like a cat who just got her fur stroked by her owner. I am crazy. No, my wolf is crazy.
