Chapter 24

SELIORA POV

“Yes but you know what he didn't do, he didn't throw me out of my house,” I replied, looking back at her. “He’s keeping me around, Claire, he could have killed me or thrown me out of the house.”

She had such a huge smile that made me chuckle a bit. I wondered how Kaelion had been living with her for so long without realising she had feelings for her.

“We all know why he is keeping you around. Once he kills your father, he will be free to do whatever he wants to you so please enjoy your last days,” She muttered, walking away while I went back into the room angrily.

As much as I hated to admit it, Claire was right. Kaelion was probably going to kill me like he killed my pack members once he had no usefulness for me.

“I won't let that happen,” I stated, locking the door.

Once I had my chance, I would kill Kaelion first then Claire before ending his pack just like he ended mine.

I lay down on the bed to calm myself down but after a few minutes, I heard a knock on the door and rushed towards it.

I opened it up almost immediately thinking it was the maids but was surprised to see the pack doctor who treated me earlier at the hospital.

“How do you feel now, Seliora?” He asked, with a smile on his face.

“Good doctor, thank you,” I muttered, noticing the way he kept staring at me.

“I am Xavier, you can come over to the clinic anytime to see me,” He said, while I wondered if he could be of help to my plans.

He seemed to like me and has been the only pack member who has smiled at me since Kaelion brought me here.

“Okay Xavier,” I muttered. “Do you think you could help me with a dress and some makeup products?”

His smile immediately faded and turned into a frown but I knew exactly how to convince him.

“Tomorrow is my birthday, Xavier. I just want to feel pretty for only one day before Alpha Kaelion decides to kill me,” I mumbled, faking some tears. “This might be my last birthday.”

“I will get them for you, you only have to promise not to let anyone know I gave them to you. This could get me into a lot of trouble,” He muttered, after a bit of hesitation while staring at me with so much pity in his eyes.

My fake story seemed to have worked perfectly.

“You should come to the hospital building tomorrow night to get the products. I would not want anyone to see me here with you, it might raise suspicions,” He whispered, looking around before finally leaving.

Afterwards, I walked back into the room and spent the remaining day perfecting my plan and devising more ways to piss Kaelion off.

If he would not let me leave, I would also not submit to him.

At the annual pack regale, I was going to make sure to humiliate him in front of his pack members just like he has done to me times without number.

The plan all seemed to be coming together but there was still a problem, I needed a way to get into the party which I knew was going to be fully guarded.

I spent more hours contemplating different ways but soon drifted off to sleep without coming up with a plan.

The next day came as quickly as I wanted it to. The moment I opened my eyes and realised it was morning, I jumped out of bed and peeped out of the window, and scanned through the pack house which had now been fully decorated.

“Think Seliora,” I muttered, but the idea of me getting into the house just seemed impossible.

Since I still had the whole day to come up with a plan, I decided to get ready for the day.

I started to pull off my clothes but just before I could remove them, I heard a loud knock on the door.

I instantly pulled the clothes back on and walked towards the door.

“You have to stay in the room all day tomorrow,” Kaelion stated the moment I opened the door while I reminisced about how he choked me the previous day. “There’s an event happening here tomorrow, all you need for the whole day will be provided, do not step out.”

“Okay,” I simply responded to him, shutting the door.

I had so much anger for him now in my heart that it made me so scared.

His coming here to ask me not to step out of the house only fueled my anger. For that, I was going to make sure I got into the party.

Some minutes later, some maids brought breakfast. After eating, I took a bath and paced impatiently in the room waiting for it to get dark.

Lunch was brought again and I continued to wait after eating.

After what felt like forever, Night came and I instantly rushed out of the room and slowly made my way towards the hospital.

“Seliora,” I heard someone call out to me in a low tone.

I looked back and rushed towards the voice after realising it was Xavier.

“Here,” He said, stretching a small bag towards me. “No one must know I did this for you Seliora, especially Alpha Kaelion.”

“Sure, this means a lot but I have a little problem, Xavier,” I mumbled, in a low tone. “I need to get into my old room in the pack house and pick up a pendant my mother gave to me but I can not pass through the door because Kaelion threw me out. Is there another way into the house?”

“Yes, you can go in through the staff quarters. Just make sure you don't get caught, Seliora,” He responded, with fear in his eyes.

“Oh trust me, I will not,” I stated, with a smile watching him run off.

Tomorrow was about to be an exciting day.
