CHAPTER 18

ADRIANNA’S POV

***Flashback***

After my father cruelly sold me off to Alpha Hermes and his hefty bodyguard overpowered and injected me with that sedative, my eyes fluttered open to find myself in an unfamiliar environment, my body sank into a large soft bed which even though I didn’t want to admit was the most comfortable thing my body had ever come in contact with.

The ceiling was high, with intricate engravings and a chandelier hanging down from it. Lazily looking around, I could see the room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Floor-to-ceiling windows with tinted glasses adorned the spaces, making it difficult to see what was outside.

My head throbbed with the slightest movement I made, and my body felt so heavy and weak like I had woken from a decade-old coma. Whatever sedative that bodyguard injected me with must have been very strong for me to be feeling this drained and disoriented.
