Chapter 18 Just one night

"How long will you continue to stare at me, Tania?" Talon spoke surprisingly even with his eyes closed, his deep voice enclosing me in fear. I wondered how he knew that I was staring at him. Maybe it was his sixth sense but as soon as I heard him, I immediately withdrew myself and lay on my side facing the opposite side.

My eyes were wide open, my eyeballs moved from side to side in curiosity as to whether he was staring at me as well. I felt a slight disturbance in the bed and I heard the sheet move. I was so tempted to turn around and look -- I wanted to see if Talon was doing something weird but that would only make matters worse so I stayed put and pretended as though I was sleeping.

My heart pounded heavily inside my chest and I shut my eyes close. I heard something moving by my side. Talon was moving beside me -- it was as if he was coming close to me but since I wasn't sure about it, I didn't react at all.
