“Do you think alpha is still mad at me?” I asked beta once we were on the pack house living room. He had gotten the bandages from the first aid box and was now wrapping my injury, on one knee in front of me while I sat on the couch.

“He has every right to be,” he nodded, without looking up at me.

“Are you mad at me?” I asked in a low voice, my eyebrows pulled together in worry.

He met my gaze with a sigh from his kneeling position, “you endangered the pack, we’ve not been open to such risks in years, this was too far,” he sighed, “but I know you didn’t do it on purpose, it’s fine.”

There was a brief moment of silence, “you know, I prefer it if you are mad at me instead, I don’t like the calm and collected, my mum will kill me, alpha will kill me,” I buried my face in my hands, “fuck what was I thinking,” I moaned.

Riggs stood upright and cleared his throat, “stay here, let me get the ice pack for your elbow.”

“It’s fine, I’ll do it myself, you’ve already done enough,” I shook my head
