I had just finished washing the mud off my body when I suddenly caught sight of an SUV—the same one Damon drives. I quickly ran to the back so he wouldn’t see me like this. If he saw me all dirty, he might despise me even more than he already did. I kept pouring water on the parts of my body I hadn’t cleaned earlier. At least I had cleaned the whole house today. Maybe my punishment for tomorrow would be reduced, I thought, as I tried to check if Damon was already inside. That way, I could enter without being seen. As I walked, my body began to shiver. The cold night wind made me dizzy, coupled with the dress that clung to my body. Damon wasn’t in sight. I could finally try to sneak in. Just then, I felt an unyielding sneeze coming. I tried to hold it back, closing my mouth, but it suddenly burst through my nose, bringing out warm fluid. Shit. I had just been wet for a few miIris pov"Get lost!" Damon yelled, shoving me directly to the floor. I stumbled, my knee hitting the edge of the table."Argh, shit!" I couldn't help screaming in pain. Damon walked out with an angered expression. Why was he so angry? I hadn't done anything. I couldn't help crying out loud as my knee began to ache. It felt like my bones were breaking off as I stood up.Limping to my room, I wore another maiden dress to quickly make dinner for Damon. It was the first time I'd cooked in such a huge kitchen, and using an automatic fire was a novelty. It happened to light up without doing anything. I seized the impulse to place my hands to check if it was real because I knew very well it would hurt me.I was determined to make nice food with my favorite recipe. I was so happy after leaving the church. I hadn't cooked and was given different disgusting food in the slave hall. After several washings of the veggies, I sliced them perfectly thin. I could remember how Miss Manthra would pick a
Iris pov "Hmm, yummy," I thought, unable to resist licking my lips to catch even the last crumb. I'd been starving.I didn't understand why Damon stood up and left the food as soon as my stomach growled. He must have thought I was disgusting. Well, too bad for him. I had the chance to eat well, and I was filled and happy. As I stepped into the kitchen, I remembered I hadn't finished watering the garden. I made a mental note to do it early the next morning. I quickly washed my hands and glanced at the luxurious, wide kitchen. Everything was either black or white. There wasn't another color. Only the chandelier had a mix of both black and white.I'd noticed numerous little chips on some of the parts I'd cleaned up. I still wondered what they were. Walking to the room, I felt a numbness in my feet. I'd completely forgotten about my injury. I was walking nonstop. Reaching the guest room, I took off my uniform. I was indeed a maid. This was the future I'd planned for myself. It would h
IRIS POV I… I’m sorry, the man in the suit began to apologize, bowing slightly.Damon blocked my body with his towering masculine presence.“I will leave now. Take your time when you’re done…”“Why are you here?” I asked, confusion swirling in my mind.“I came to inform you about the banquet being held tomorrow night. The board of directors mentioned that you should be there, along with the hereditary…”“Leave,” Damon said, cutting him off sharply.I didn’t understand everything that was mentioned, but I knew a banquet was a party. I tried to steal a glance at Damon. Surprisingly, he was staring at me too. I quickly looked down to avoid his gaze.“Sir…”“We’ll talk in the study room. Meet me there,” Damon instructed. After the door closed, he pulled away from me, staring deeply into my eyes.“Iris,” he called out suddenly.“Yes, Master?” I replied, my heart racing.“
Iris pov The journey that felt like forever finally stopped as the Black Bentley car came to pick me up and halted in front of a huge building. It was a skyscraper—this place must be owned by someone super rich. Before I could grasp the handle of the door, a man dressed in a suit opened it while bowing. It’s the master of the guard who brought me to Damon earlier. I haven’t seen him in a long time.I held the flowing forest green gown the stylist made for me together and bowed to the guards as well.“There’s no need, young madam,” he said, his deep voice contrasting with the cold expression always on his face.He gestured for me to move further into the huge building. I clutched my dress tightly to walk, wishing I could change the style, but they mentioned it was what Damon had picked for me. The gown was a striking forest green with a long slit to my thigh and the back exposed, held together by a thin rope at my waist. I was e
Iris pov"Oops, my hand slept," she said with a mischievous look on her face. She seemed to be enjoying messing with me. I dropped the cupcake back on the table and ignored her, walking away to find the washroom. I needed a tissue to wipe the liquid from my dress. "Oh my gosh, did you see Jason?""He looked so hot in that gray suit.""Right!""He looks like the man I've dreamed of.""Hey, get your eyes off my crush. You're not even qualified to be with him.""Neither are you, with that cheap dress you're wearing and the heavy makeup plastered on your face. It's covering your rotten pimples and terrible mole.""Ahh, haha, hhhh. That hit hard."Reaching the bathroom, I saw several ladies painting their lips and reapplying makeup, while discussing and insulting each other. They were too engrossed in their discussion and didn't notice my presence. I grabbed a tissue and wiped my dress.
Iris pov As soon as I got out of the washroom, the applause grew louder and louder. It was like the banquet had begun. I quickened my pace to the main hall. A waitress came to me with a glass of wine, saying, "Hello, pretty miss, you should have a drink." "Thank you," I said, bowing slightly and taking a sip. It was non-alcoholic red wine. The banquet hall lights dimmed, and the stage lit up immediately. Another wave of applause filled the hall as the main host came in. "Hello, beautiful ladies and gentlemen, welcome to tonight's banquet," he paused, smiling and bowing slightly to everyone. Another round of applause followed. I stood in a dimly lit corner, watching the stage. "This banquet is to celebrate our most popular, youngest, successful billionaire businessman who owns multiple companies across the countries. The CEO of Vyron Enterprise, he has taken the reins afte
Iris pov Under the bright, clouded light, Damon held my hands tightly, as well as my waist, while the slow sounds of the piano played in rhythm with the dance. Other boys and their patterns followed suit, while whispers of envy and jealousy from other girls filled my ears. Some expressed their displeasure, while others made positive comments; I guess everyone is indeed different in this world."Eww, of all the other girls, why her?" one girl exclaimed."She is beautiful, actually, but why does she have to be with my oppa?" another added."Hey, sit your ass down! I’ve told you he is mine, and when one is mine, he can't be anyone else's!" I wanted to yell back."Oh please, if he's yours, why then did he pick someone else? Ahhhh!" Their conversation was loud enough to reach my ears. I wished the girls who wanted Damon could come take my place. Even while I was in the banquet hall under the light, Damon was still bullying me.
Damon pov I sat on the balcony upstairs at the lodge, preparing to unwind with a sex toy. I undid two shirt buttons and poured myself a glass of wine. I had someone in mind to "torture" tonight, but Iris seemed to have replaced that person.Just then, my train of thought was interrupted by the sudden buzz of my phone. It was Julian. "Fuck," I cursed, annoyed that he had slipped my mind."I sent you on a mission," I said coldly."Boss, the mission was successful, but most of our members are gone," he replied, panting heavily."Shit," I exclaimed, regretting not going to the Factor attack myself due to business deals and hereditary claims."I understand," I said. "I'll send a private jet to pick you up."I hung up and smashed my phone on the marble floor. This was fucked up. I would have been happy about the mission's success, but at the cost of my loyal subordinates' lives?I cursed, remembering I was suppo
Iris’s POVI sat down in the quiet, dark basement, staring hard at nowhere. Since it was dark, my vision seems blurred.“Damon!!!” I stood up, yelling and screaming at the top of my voice, hoping he would come back. He can't lock me up here. I’m a human, not an animal without emotions.“Damon, please let me out.” I cried out, tears falling as my heart pounded hard against my chest, nervousness gripping me.Banging hard on the metallic door, its echo sounded loudly in the quiet room. I hit it with all my might, but it was all in vain, no response, and my hands ached a lot.I suddenly felt a splitting headache and sat down on the floor, leaning my back against the door. Holding my breath and squeezing my fists, I tried not to make any more sound. Fear gripped me. I was scared of being alone here.I had just remembered when I was stuck in the rain Andrew had come to help me. Though he had become fierce all of a sudden, he didn’t change his kindness. It breaks my heart even more thinking
Damon’s povThe perfect body, perfect lips, and perfect boobs,I had finally found her, but in the most terrible way.I punched Zach so hard that I wanted to take out all his facial features, including his ability to see.Worst of all, Iris dared to try to protect him, those eyes I had missed were pouring out tears. Not for me. Not for when I bullied her. But for this hell of a motherfucker. With that thought, I punched him again, yanking Iris away from shielding him."Damon, let me go!" I heard Iris’s tearful voice from behind as I gestured for the other guards to hold her in place.I shot a death glare at her. How dare she shed those tears for Zach? With that, I kicked Zach hard in the groin, earning a loud growl from him."Damon, you monster!" Iris screamed again, sobbing my name through her tears, those damn tears. The deep squeezed i felt in my chest intensified even more, knowing that my pet wasn't crying because of me. Those tears weren’t mine, they were for the motherfucker, my da
Damon’s POV It’s been two damn weeks since I last saw my pet, Iris. I had drowned myself in work, starved myself countless times, and taken endless cold showers to ease the burning need , but hell, nothing was working. Maybe I had given her too much freedom yesterday. She dared to run away. But what she didn’t realize was that I hadn’t forgotten one thing this time , the damn tracking device. I had searched the city top to bottom for her. Leaning back lazily in my chair, I lit a cigarette and strolled out to the balcony, my gaze fixed on the streets below , the glowing lamps, the passing cars, the towering buildings. I couldn’t help but slam my palm against the glass in frustration. If I got my hands on Iris... I would rip her in two. How dare she leave my premises after I had bought her?She was mine. And what’s mine can never belong to anyone else. No matter how hard I
Iris’s POV I looked at Andrew, who had an even uglier expression on his face. "Why did I end up thinking I could use you as bait? You've been with me for a whole fucking two weeks, and that motherfucker hasn’t come for you," Andrew said angrily, hitting the steering wheel. It was late at night. The sky was dark, and there wasn’t a moon, but indeed there were clusters of cyst-like stars scattered across the sky. The side street lights radiated over the dark road, and the busy people around began to walk while others moved around on tricycles. This moment only reminded me of myself. I felt sticky and disgusting. My body was filled with my own gut feeling, and Andrew kept yelling things I didn't understand. After a few more rides, Andrew parked at a corner. "Get out," he ordered, his voice cold and commanding. I opened the car door and stepped out. Just as I pulled my legs out, I was suddenly pulled back by a hard gr
Iris’s POV"Iris, let's go home," Andrew said, pulling my hand."Hey, let go! I want to have fun with my friends," I protested, pulling my hand back."It's late, and you're drunk. It's not safe here," Andrew mentioned, attempting to pull my hand again, but I held them to myself."I would have to make sure they both get home safely, then yes, I would go," I said, gesturing a ‘no’ to Andrew."Oh my gosh, who's this handsome guy? Iris, not fair! You didn't tell us you had a boyfriend!" Ava yelled."No, no, no! He isn't my boyfriend, he is Andrew, a friend," I explained with dizzy eyes. I wasn’t drunk, but I knew the beer had a little impact on my sight and my head."No way! He is handsome. Hello!" Ava smiled, raising her hands lazily to Andrew.I couldn’t help but chuckle. Though I didn't know Andrew that much, I knew he wasn't the friendly type.I still wondered why he had helped me... me, that night.Turning to Andrew, I met with his face darkened."You are new here, Iris. You think yo
Iris’s pov "Iris, what exactly can you do? What the hell is this? Just a few plates you were carrying and now they're all over the restaurant! I'm going to deduct all this wastage from your salary!" My boss exclaimed. I stood frozen to the ground. I felt both a hot sensation on my skin and a deep ache forming in my chest, along with a pain in my head. Damn , my skin can get bruised, but why my salary? "Hey Iris, what the hell happened?" I heard Mia’s voice from behind me. I glanced at Scott; she had a smug smile on her lips. "Oh shit, come on in. I’ll clean it up while you clean yourself up." "Sure, thank you," I said as I turned toward the bathroom. I stared at my reflection in the bathroom mirror. I smiled slightly, trying to curb the anger in my chest. I felt like walking up to Scott and giving her what she deserved, but that would only make me lose my job. Looking at my dress, now stained with hotpot meal, I felt lost for a moment. What should I do? It was like the universe
Iris’s pov I was taken aback at his words,"Damon’s."How did he know Damon? Who was he? Who was Andrew?I stood frozen to the ground, my chest pounding so hard I could hear my heartbeat. I gripped the hem of my dress as my body shivered. I never knew until now the influence Damon had on me. Even just the mention of his name was enough to make my body go numb. I knew he was capable of anything, but I never expected him to still get to me,even after moving to a small town. These past few weeks, I had finally felt peaceful.Though I hadn’t had the chance to breathe in the wonderful smell of red roses or enjoy the view from the balcony or under the streetlight, I had peace, until now. Andrew stood tall, his left hand deep in his pocket. He rubbed the space between his brows. I didn’t want to listen to his blabber and quickly headed out to work. “Heyyy, Little Petel! Off to work again?” “Yes, Miss Jenkins.”
Iris’s povI woke up, stretching my numb body. The sun reflected off the window. It’s been two weeks since I moved to this new town, everyone seems friendly and kind. Thanks to the strange man, he had rented a little apartment for me, and I found a job.“Ohhh yeah, my job…..shit!” I quickly got off the bed and rushed to the shower.Since I started working, I was always being scolded for coming in late, because I kept oversleeping.Getting into the shower, I began washing up. As I was rinsing the soap off my face, the water suddenly stopped. At that moment, I heard a knock at the door.“Ahhhh….damn, my face!” My face was still covered with soap as I fumbled around blindly for a towel. Finally, I found something soft and wiped the soap from my eyes. The knock came again. I quickly grabbed a towel to cover my body and hurried to the door.“Hello, who’s there….” My hand froze in mid-air as I saw Andrew. He was the gentleman who had helped me out that night.“Hey, little girl. Sorry I came t
Iris’s povI breathed a sigh of relief as I heard police sirens coming in. They were so quick."Hey! Come,""Kaila, where are you?""Mum!""Kaila, my daughter!""Dad?""Hey! Drop that!""He's a thief!""Mum, I found you….I was scared..."My legs suddenly felt wobbly as my memories began to act up,just being the little girl crying sadly, looking for her mum. And the mother seemed to be looking too. The joy in her face when she finally found her mum..."Everyone, please calm down! He is a criminal who escaped from prison. Everything has been sorted out," the police announced as they handcuffed the person who had fired the gunshot into the air, terrifying everyone. The chaotic atmosphere cleared up as quickly as it had come, but another was about to begin. Thunderstruck loudly, accompanied by heavy rain. This place was new to me. I had planned to have a bit of fun here and get a little bit of shelter, as long as I left the mansion,as long as I was far away from him.I didn’t take any clot
