30. The Wound

Jax's PoV

"Did you see her?" I asked Ayden, who had come to visit for the umpteenth time. The man nodded. However, I couldn't translate the expression on his face. "Is there a problem? Ivanna is fine, right?"

Ayden shook his head and then looked me in the eye. "She's not okay, Jax. You have to do something. Why not ask Jason for help? He'll definitely help you. You forget that your brother is the clan leader who will help you to be free. No one would dare oppose him."

What Ayden said was true, but I wasn't the type to ask my brother for help. With his intentions and goals toward Ivanna, there's no way I would agree with that. And that would be the condition.

Blood moon, ritual eating, and strengthening the clan that was Jason's goal. Although I don't know if there is something to do with Ivanna, I don't see it this way.

"You know how Jason is yourself. Nothing is free in this world, Ayden."

Ayden nodded, then let out a breath from which I knew what he said about Ivanna was true. That
