Chapter 10- Falling Back

"Sarah," Carlton said.

Sarah froze.

This wasn't what she was expecting. Yes, she had prepared a speech and a conversation in her head with Legolas. But she wasn't with her brother. She had no idea what to say. She didn't 3ven know if she wanted to talk to him.

"Can we talk?" He asked, eyes pleading for a positive response. Alpha Legolas maddock had decided that they will leave the demon realm tomorrow afternoon and Carlton was hoping for a chance to talk with sarah.

"Sure," Sarah tentatively replied.

" How are you?" Carlton asked.

"Seriously? We haven't seen each other for years and you start with,'how are you?' Sarah burst out, surprising herself and Carlton.

"I only wanted to talk...and apologize." Carlton looked down. He was expecting her to lash at him and was hoping she wouldn't.

The door chose at the moment to burst open as the sparkling Albus came flaunting out. Carlton looked up and froze. Damn, his mate looked good, he thought as his eyes raked Albus's outfit.
