The King's Last Wish

The moonlit forest stretched as far as Ariana could see.

A gentle breeze stirred the silver leaves overhead, carrying a familiar scent she couldn't quite place. It reminded her of home. Not the pack where she had grown up believing she was unwanted, but somewhere much older. Somewhere buried beneath years of forgotten memories.

The man standing beneath the white tree smiled softly.

Time had left no mark on him.
