It took a lot of effort for me to force my eyes open when I heard the door creak as someone entered the room. I blinked until my vision cleared and I could make out the man hovering in the doorway.

“I picked up some clean clothes for you and some food.”

Although my stomach was grumbling from hunger, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to stomach even a bite of whatever David had gotten.

“Did you find him?” I questioned.

“No,” he growled, lowering the bags onto the single couch pushed against the wall next to the door. “Nobody had seen him.”

My hand curled into fists. If there had been any doubt of Draven’s involvement in Sin’s kidnapping, it had been cleared now. He disappeared at the same time Sin was kidnapped.

“Jackson’s name has been removed from the suspect list.”

I tensed, muscles tightening as I fought the urge to jump up and wrap my hands around his neck. “What did you just say?” I questioned through clenched teeth.
