Chapter 18

Bella's pov

Haydn slowly took off his clothes, and his once intact body was now covered in wounds.

"Does it hurt?" I gently touched his wound, furrowing my brows in distress.

"Not too much," Haydn grabbed my hand, pressing his face against my palm. I knew he was just trying not to worry me, so I kissed his forehead to comfort him.

"Let me clean your wounds." I wiped away the bloodstains on Haydn's body with a clean cloth and applied some ointment.

Haydn drank the wound-healing potion, waiting for his injuries to mend.

Strangely, the wounds were healing very slowly.

There were two main types of potions for treating wounds, the basic blue version for minor injuries and the upgraded green version for severe injuries. Haydn had taken the green potion, which should have shown significant signs of healing. However, contrary to expectations, his wounds were healing at an unusually slow pace.
