Chapter Thirty-Seven

We were soon leaving the castle and entering the garden, Colby said the best and easiest way to get to the waterfall was through the back. I didn’t really have any idea where we were going, but I trusted Colby would get us there in one piece.

I did wonder if I should have left a note for Axel, that way I could explain where I was so he wouldn’t worry. But I didn’t have the time, Colby was worried the storm may be coming quicker than we all think so time really was of the essence.

Once we had made it out of the border of the castle, which surprisingly, the guards allowed us through without asking any proper questions. The trek was going to be harder than what I had first anticipated, the little walk slowly slipped into a hike up a huge hill. Colby had to hold my hand as I navigated around huge cliff rocks, I had to keep reminding myself that it was all for the greater good.
