Chapter 2

Elowen's Pov

I couldn't sleep throughout the night after Eloise words, I was so restless and I began to ask my mother if she knew anything about the Alpha of Asheville which caught her unawares but she answered me anyway.

“He's not one you can mess with, he's got rules for everything that exists around him and if one is defiled he ends up killing them, so I'll say you avoid talking about him or asking unnecessary questions just because you work in a school that's situated in Asheville.” She explained to me and it did nothing to calm my nerves down.

“It's late, get some sleep so you won't end up scrambling like a lost rat tomorrow morning.” She ruffled my hair and retreated to bed. I can't let anything happen to them, if I'm caught as a rogue, they will be the first person to get hurt for taking me in, she said she lost her kids to a drastic cancer and they were left with none, she had me now and I need to protect her.

The next day at school, I didn't bother checking in or signing the attendance left for us every morning, I went straight to Mr Clark's office and to my relief, he was there; brooding over some sheets and raising his brows at my sudden visit.

“Mrs Smith, I didn't think you'll get back to me in such a short time.” I cleared my throat and dropped the brown file he gave me yesterday.

“I'm sorry Mr Clark but I can't do it, I'm not going to be the Alpha's daughter tutor.”

His countenance changed from bright to red colour and all happy smirk was replaced with scorn.

“That…wasn't a request Elowen.” His voice suddenly made me nervous but I stood my ground.

“You said teachers are being picked every year to tutor his daughter right?” He didn't answer me but I pressed on. “How many of them came back alive?”

“Elowen..” there was warning in his voice but I shifted backwards and straighten my spine.

“I won't do It Mr Clark, you're sending me out there not because I'm good and perfect as you claim, but you see me worthless enough to get into the Alpha's Den and die!” I spat at him angrily as reality crashed on me.

“That's enough Elowen, you're best for this job and whether you like it or not you're going to the Pack Mansion, there's no way out of this. I don't care who fed you nonsense but I already submitted your name to the Alpha, you know what's going to be worse? Not showing up and I'll end up telling him about your pathetic little hideout with your parents. He won't just kill you for keeping him waiting, he'll kill your parents as well.” Hot tears well my eyes as he kept pouring out vile words to destroy me.

What have I done to this man, why did he choose me of all the teachers here. I'm very simple, quiet and act so naive even when I know about a particular problem. I hate showing off knowing where I come from and my dirty secret which might cost my life but he chose me to tutor a Demon?

After my conversation with my mum last night, I didn't need to ask further questions seeing how she was uncomfortable talking about Asheville Alpha, Eloise was shaken to her bones and asked me to run but the question was run to where, where the hell do you run you when you have no where to go to?

“Don't do this to me please, I can't do it.” I ended up begging him in tears and he shook his head.

“You're new and fresh, your absence won't affect the school even for a year and you're not a Pack member as well so I know what I'm doing?”

“What are you doing, using me a bait to protect others?”

There was a loud horn that startled the both of us and he rushed to the window to take a peek before coming back to face me.

“I think you should get going now, they're here already?” My face drained all colour of life that I rushed to the window and true to his words there are fleet of black Jeep lined outside with men in black, checking their wrist watched like they'll do anything than to be here.

“You said I'm starting next week, why are they here already” I half yelled at Clark who looked sorry for me.

“I don't know either, what matters is they're here and you need to be there” I'm shaking and hyperventilating, this is a violation of personal interest and maybe if I can politely tell them that I'm not interested, they can look for someone else and not me.

My degree isn't up to par to tutor an Alpha's daughter so maybe they'll listen to me.

“You got this Elowen, you can do it” Clark's voice irritated me so much that I turned to him with a glare.

“Shut up!” I snapped and held the handle of the door before pulling it open and Eloise was right before me.

“Girl!! I think you're in trouble, I asked you to run but you came back and now you're leaving me?” She wasn't happy about the situation but there's a twinge of excitement in her tone.

“I can't just leave without a plan as Clark's is an asshole, will you switch places for me?” I asked but she glared at me and walked faster away from me. “Hell no, you know how much I love my parties and social time. I'm not doing this for a blood demon Alpha but you? I think you'll do your best…I'll see you later!” She blows me a kiss and that's it, I'm left with no option than walk towards the men coming for me and looking like danger in a broad day light.

One of then glanced through his phone again and starws directly at me. “You must be Elowen Smith.” I opened my mouth to say something but he continued.

“The Alpha needs to see you now, please follow us to the car.” I swallowed all my words and follow them quietly like a zombie.

The drive was smooth and rich, but my heart was thumping like I had ran a marathon and might fall out anytime plus the view of the city made me forget the dangerous job I'm about to face.

Asheville was beautiful in every sense of the word, all I saw was tall buildings that either looked like a company or a mansion, the streets looked busy and the people driving on the road were damn rich, it made me wonder why Elite Celestial Royal Academy was situated in such a rural place looking like I was living in the Medieval reign. Don't get me wrong, the school is the biggest to exist with all the modern facilities needed but it was situated in a dense path of a forest.

My heart dropped to my stomach when we got to the Mansion, is this even real? This place is made of pure gold and glass?

They opened the door for me and I stepped down, looking like a lost lamb.

“Over here, he's in the shooting arena.” The men told me and my eyes grew wide.

Shooting arena?

Goddess, what if this man shoots me if things go wrong? The excitement of seeing something beautiful vanished instantly and was replaced with fear.

I followed them quietly to the arena, ignoring the beautiful flowers and waterfalls that looked way too fascinating to be real until the gates opened automatically and we all walked inside

The sight that greeted me was pure hell made in human form, whoever this man was isn't supposed to be called a human being as he passed his gun to one of the men, his back facing me with ink covering every space of skin he has. There was blood everywhere on him, the gun he just passed to his men, his hands and especially his knuckles where he has this hard silver rings around them and when he turned to stare at me, I was caught on chokeload and ceased to breathe.

Yes! His face was covered in splashes of blood but that's not it, he had the most beautiful sapphire eyes to ever exist and the body of a runaway model, his gaze was fixed on me and I couldn't even move as he wore his shirt, clean his face and came to me without any informalities.

“Miss Smith right?” He asked curtly and I blinked hard at the deep voice.

“You can call me Elowen..S..sir..Alpha?” I stammered like a total idiot and he scoffed like he's used this reaction and was fed up.

“Good Elowen, you'll get to work immediately and we'll be good as long as you follow a certain set of rules. Valencia needs to pass her third grade exams next month and the other bunch of idiots who couldn't follow a simple instructions met the moon goddess, I'm sure you wouldn't that to happen right?” He asked as he walked past me and continued talking.

“Yes Alpha…I won't.”

“You'll be paid hourly, the sum of 1500 dollars will be credited to your account each hour while you tutor her on the basic things she needs to know.”

I gasped in shock as all thoughts of declining the offer to tutor his daughter flew outside my head and he turned to me and came impossiblly close so that I could smell smoke and blood around him.

My heart thundered wildly as he fro

wned, “Why don't you have a scent Elowen?”

Oh good goddess, I think I'm dead.

Chapter 48My breath caught. "What?""You heard me." His voice dropped to that commanding Alpha tone that made my knees weak. "Raise that pretty dress and turn around. Face the wall. I want to see your ass.""Kade, we can't—""I'm going to fuck you in the ass," he continued, his eyes burning into mine with an intensity that stole my breath. "I'm going to make sure you're shaking by the time we get to that event. Make sure every step you take reminds you of who you belong to."My whole body trembled, heat and fear and desperate need warring inside me. He couldn't be serious. This was insane. His family was just outside. We were supposed to be at a festival. Valencia was waiting for us.But the look in his eyes told me he was completely serious.I watched in stunned silence as he started unbuckling his belt, the leather sliding through the loops with a sound that made my core clench. He wasn't even fully undressing, was just opening his pants enough to free himself."I want to fuck you

"Get out."My mouth fell open in shock. "What?""Daddy?" Valencia's small voice piped up from beside me, confusion written all over her face. "Why does Miss Ellie have to get out?""It's nothing, sweetheart." His voice softened when he spoke to her, but there was still an edge to it that made my skin prickle with fear. "Kai will take you both to the event. I'll meet you there in a few minutes."My mind immediately went into overdrive, spinning through every possible scenario. Did I do something wrong? Did he find something on my phone? Did he somehow figure out I was texting with C.rogue? Or worse, did Ryker already tell him what I was? Did he know I was a rogue from Dead Fangs Pack?Oh God, this was it. This was how I died. Not from Magnificent's torture, not from Elena's schemes, but from Kade finally dis

Chapter 44Elowen's POV"Wait," he called after me, his voice carrying that Alpha command that made most people freeze in their tracks. But I didn't stop. I couldn't. My feet kept moving, carrying me away from him as fast as my injured body would allow. I didn't even know why I was acting this way, why his presence made me want to scream and cry and hit something all at once. He'd helped me, hadn't he? Saved me from Donovan's auction house, fucked me senseless in his mansion, made me feel wanted and desired.Only to casually introduce me to his fiancée like I was nobody. Like I meant nothing.Which I didn't. I knew that. So why did it hurt so damn much?"Hey." His hand caught my arm, gentle but firm, and I had no choice but to turn around. Those silver eyes searched my face, concern etched into every line of his stupidly handsome features. "I heard what happened. Are you okay?"The question was so absurd I almost laughed. Was I okay? I'd been tortured, accused of attempted murder, nea

Chapter 44Elowen's POVThe mansion was drowning in chaos, and somehow I was at the center of it all. What should have been a simple vindication, a clearing of my name, had turned into something bloody and terrifying. I'd always known Kade was ruthless, that he ruled with an iron fist and didn't tolerate disrespect or betrayal. But hearing the screams echoing through the halls, seeing the fear in everyone's eyes as his orders were carried out with brutal efficiency—I'd never been more terrified in my entire life.My mother's warnings rang in my ears like church bells. Stay away from him, Elowen. He's dangerous. He'll destroy you. Louise had said the same thing, begged me to quit, to run before it was too late. And they were right. My life was hanging by a thread. Today I'd almost died, almost been executed for a crime I didn't commit, almost had my skin burned off and my back flayed open until there was nothing left but meat and bone. But how the hell do you stay away from a man who f

Kade’s povHer breasts filled my hands perfectly, and I squeezed them roughly, pinching her nipples between my fingers until she cried out. But it wasn't a cry of pain—it was pleasure, raw and undeniable."Kade," she moaned, her body arching into my touch. "Kade, please—"I kissed down her neck, sucking hard enough to leave marks, needing everyone to see that she was mine. "Why did you leave the fucking bed last night?" I growled against her throat. "You should have stayed. You should have stayed with me where you were safe.""I did stay," she panted, her hands clutching at my shoulders. "It was Magnificent who came and dragged me out. But you'll never believe me anyway. You'll always doubt me, always question—""What do you want, Elowen?" I pulled back to look at her, my hand sliding down her body to cup her pussy. She was already wet, already ready for me despite everything she'd been through. "Tell me what you want."My palm slapped against her wet heat, and she jerked, a broken mo

Chapter 42Kade's POVI was sick and tired of the entire fucking circus. Sick of Magnificent's theatrics, sick of the accusations, sick of the chaos that seemed to follow wherever Elowen went. But underneath all that exhaustion and frustration was something far more visceral, far more terrifying.Fear.Pure, gut-wrenching fear for my daughter.I took the stairs to Valencia's room two at a time, my heart hammering against my ribcage like it was trying to break free. The doctor was just stepping out when I reached her door, and the look on his face made my blood run cold."How is she?" My voice came out rough, desperate."She's stable, Alpha. Her werewolf bloodline is incredibly strong—stronger than most children her age. The wolfsbane didn't affect her the way it should have. She'll be fine."The relief that crashed over me was so intense I had to brace myself against the doorframe. "Thank fuck," I breathed.I pushed into her room quietly, not wanting to disturb her if she was sleeping
