Chapter 3

Elowen's Pov 

The question caught me on a chokeload that I had difficulty in breathing and I got another reaction from him.

“Breathe Elowen…” I can't breathe, I want to but I just can't breathe. This is what I've been passing through when I'm too scared, when it happened at that fire and when I was trying so hard to survive. Normally, I would think he would walk away and wouldn't give a shit, I could die for all he cares but instead he tilted my head upwards to face him, murmuring some incoherent words I couldn't hear and I felt his hands slipped inside my clothes and moved to my bare back brushing the straps of my bra as he tapped me soft but hard enough to jerk me back to normal.

“Breathe now!” He commanded and his eyes glowed red, radiating his Alpha command and I gasped out in relief and began breathing again, sweat and tingles broke out for my skin at his contact.

“I'm sorry…”I winced and avoided his gaze, his men were staring at me as if I'm a psycho and I hope this is more than enough to let him know that I'm not fit to tutor his child.

“You will start next week instead, take care of your health so you won't do this before Valencia, my men will give you the set of rules you need to follow and don't defile them.” There was a warning in his tone and I don't need to answer what would happen if I dared do that.

“Most especially, don't let Valencia Fail, that's the worst of all.” I nodded at him and he stared at me over again, I realised his hands were still on my back and my body heated up in fear and sudden excitement.

He removed his hands and turned to leave when I gasped in relief. 

How stupid I was to perform that before the Alpha, but at least he didn't ask about my scent again so that's a good thing right?

Before leaving, I was given a file and it was the rules. I'll read it when I reach home but for now, I'll stop thinking how hard and firm his hands were on my back.

I used the rest of the week to prepare but I didn't tell my mum or she'll be way too worried and I didn't want that, telling my mum I'm working for the Alpha of Asheville was like saying “Mum I signed a death sentence but I don't know when I'll die.” 

I went through Valencia’s charts as it was the file given, her score records and her attitude towards the tutoring was worse than an average student who never got the opportunity of a tutor. I practised more on my emotions as I saw how her preview tutors had either ended up hitting her which led to their death, some pulled her hair and they got their skull pulled out plus another bunch of ugly activities that made my head ache.

There was no way out of this, I have to make it work and survive and that's what I did.

I resumed being the Alpha's tutor and made sure I was there one hour early before the actual time as I didn't want them to trace where I was staying all in the name of coming to pick me up.

“You must be Elowen right?” A beautiful woman in her fifties approached me and took my jacket while I nodded respectfully. 

“I'm Marie, the housekeeper. Valencia is in her room. I'll take you there and show you around before you start working “

“Thank you Marie.” I smiled at her and she showed me around First which made me anxious and insecure about a big luxury place like this and finally we went to Valencia's room.

“I'll stop here Elowen, your jacket and bag are safe till you're ready to leave.” She told me and I took a deep breath to relax myself before pushing the door open.

I couldn't help the intake of breath I took the moment I stepped in, the room was so beautiful that it's unfair for a little child to have it all, it was all decorated in purple of different shades, from her rug, wardrobe, bed, table, hair clips, shoes and -

“Who are you?” Her tiny voice cut through my haze of admiration and I swallowed. 

“I'm Elowen, I will be your new tutor…nice to see you Valencia.” She stared at me with those eyes that definitely belonged to her father, big Sapphire eyes that didn't blink and definitely looked displeased.

“I don't need a new tutor, especially not you.” She replied and I wasn't surprised, she exhibited the character of non compliance in her chart history.

"Of course I know that, I'm not here to change that. We can just introduce ourselves first and get to know each other before we get into anything boring.” That made the little girl frown and I wondered if I said anything bad.

“I don't want any tutor! Why can't dad just listen to me and let me be?” She cried and stood up, her hair was parted in two buns and tendrils fell on either sides of her eyes. She's so beautiful but she seems stubborn which was going to be harder than I thought.

“Valencia, I think we can work this out if we..”

“There's nothing to work out and don't get in my way!” She raised her tiny voice at me but I wasn't ready to budge easily, doing this job was either going to have my head rolled out or keep me and my family safe so I stood my ground and tried to be calm and soft, but this girl wasn't ready for that, she got up with an energy I never expected as she stamped on my feet hard that I swear my toe bone cracked. How old was she again, isn't she 10? So how on earth was she this…oh my goodness! 

I groaned and fell in a squat to massage my toes, enduring the anger that's radiating from my chest in full force.

“Valencia!” I had to scream her name and go after her. She smelt like strawberries and an oak tree bark so tracing her with her scent shouldn't be that difficult but it didn't seems so as this house was way to big to know my next move, how would I explain to her father that my first day is a disaster and she does not want to even see my face, tell me how I am going to survive this, so with fierce determination I decided to look for her by all means and began searching everywhere with tracing any place I know a child could enter. 

“Valencia!” I called out again and went through a terrace that was a little bit spacious and wide but I was in pain and holding every walls while walking with the hope of seeing her and luckily for me there was an open door which I held firmly and entered inside only to discover a lascivious black decorated room that made me froze in place.

This place is so….so strange, why is it so dark and open. I'm supposed to leave and get the hell out of this place but I hate the curious part of me as I stepped further and looked for the wall so see if I could see a switch or anything to make me see what's in a dark place like this.

My hands trailed the wall blindly, my heart beating wildly and my had telling me to go and look for the little brat as there's no way she'll be in a dark place like this but my feet were suddenly too heavy to move. I thought I felt what seemed like a switch so I turned it on only for red lights to blast the dark space. I gasped in horror and stepped back at what was before me.

What's this place? 

A bed in the center, with iron railings over it's head, there were cuffs on the iron rack, chains on the bed, a pen knife and something sat at the edge of the bed.

What's that restraint and a pipe, stuck out like someone's cock? Dear goddess, what's this place? I swallowed and felt my face flushed hard as I stepped closer to see a shelf of vibrators, dildos, ropes and…no! Elowen get out of here now. I breathed out and turned to leave only to hear a voice behind me.

“Do you think that will fit you?” I let out a horrified scream because the moment I turned I was staring at nothing but a stark naked alpha dripping wet from his head toe like he just left the bathroom. What the hell am I doing on the first day

of working with this dangerous Alpha and his dangerous daughter?
