Chapter 5

Kade's Pov 

I'm done with my meeting with the Northern Pack about the fresh supplies they brought the foreigners, I have two Pack Alphas to deal with once I get home as those assholes had the guts to infiltrate break Asheville barriers to steal some supplies in the great store, they will end up dead in my hands today and I don't give a fuck about consequences. 

However, I won't stop thinking about my daughter's tutor, the blue eyed cat who overstepped boundaries in her first day of work, I can't erase the image of her reaction in my Red room, the full Perkiness of her breasts hiding beneath those shirt and what was driving me crazy was her lack of scent!

All my years of ruling as an Alpha, there's nothing like that to exist…. rogues had the most disgusting scent ever as they wander around like losers. They're totally forbidden to me as Ryker, my best friend and the Alpha of Shadowpine Pine Pack almost lost his sanity to them. Ciaro, the Alpha of Hollow Claw Pack turned one of the famous Packs to a rogue after they had the boldness to steal the key that belonged to the father's safe so who the hell lives without a scent?

I mind linked my Beta to come over and in the next few seconds he was standing before me while I stared at the roofs above me, I was waiting for my friends to arrive at Asheville tower as they were coming over for a drink.

“You look worried Alpha, is it about Alpha Reid and Brian? They're already in our custody and all items stolen were retrieved.” I shook my head and slipped my wine, savouring the liquid in my tongue.

“No, it's the female tutor from the school.” I hummed and dropped the glass on the pavement.

“Okay, did she offend you in any way? Should we kill her!” He asked me and the thought of that made me frown.

“Don't touch her, I need to know where she came from, her pack, parents and everything.”

He nodded with a sigh and that same time my friends stride in with their deep loud voices that annoys the fuck out of me.

“We already ran a background check on her Alpha, I'll send the file to you once you're done with them.”  I nodded and when he was about to leave, I called him.

“Kai? What living thing doesn't have a scent?”

“Huh?” He blinked in confusion and I bit my lips, wondering why I'm so bothered about a stranger's scent when I have my own ways.

“Just go…get the file for me and my daughter's progress for each tutorial.” He modded and I felt a smack on my shoulders.

“Back off Cairo!” I slapped his hands away and he chuckled, squeezing me harder and whispering in my ears. “You're getting older Kade, is your gun getting heavier?” 

“Yeah, who knows if I'll be able to hit it on your skull you backstabber!” I scoffed and took my seat but Ryker grinned like he had something to say but he'll rather keep it to himself.

“How is Val?” He asked and I smirked because I was avoiding her.

“She's cool but throwing tantrums because her daddy won't see her, it's her punishment for failing again and I'm sick and tired of these tutors who can't do the job!” I growled, hating the fact that Valencia won't pass a single test, a single arithmetic equation and she needs to level up in her grades. Is this her way of punishing me for not seeing her mother since birth? I thought I'm trying my best.

“It's not your fault Kade, don't give us that look besides, I heard you have a new tutor! Let's hope she lasts this week before you kill her.”  Cairo added as I glared at him to shut the fuck up. I didn't know if it was betrayal or not, but he knows that Reid and Brain from East Pack has been stealing from my great store to supply and sell supplies to elevate their Pack while I was blank, yesterday was different because I suddenly had an Idea to use a taser at the borders that led to the Great store.

“Don't tell me you're sulking Kade, you said it yourself that no one can steal from you no matter what, I knew about those scoundrels and I let you figure it out yourself.” He explained and I scoffed, letting that bitter truth sink in. I brag a lot about how powerful I can be and that nothing can get past me but this didn't get past me.

“You win, they stole from me and my Daughter's tutor is a mysterious bitch without a scent, what does that make her?” I asked them curiously and they kept quiet at first.

“You're sniffing your new tutor? What the fuck Kade? How is her scent your business, she's meant to teach Valencia and not come here to smell good or bad.” I ignored Cairo's words, she's my daughter's tutor who came in and saw what she wasn't supposed to see, my nakedness and my secret kink that keeps me filled and alive, I'll let her be but I hope I stop getting hard at the thought of seeing her naked, all spread out and tied on my bed, while I finally have the scent of her wetness.

I turn to Cairo who keeps staring at me weirdly and ask him the one thing that he hates the most.

“Have you seen this mysterious key of life yet or you're still looking for the last descendants of DeadFang Pack to kill and get your revenge?”I asked him and he growled.

“Shut up Kade and focus on being a better Father to Val, she doesn't deserve you and you know it.” He was wrong, I might be anything terrific to the Pack but my daughter was someone I would burn the entire world for to keep her safe. Her mother, my mate died after giving birth to her and I didn't want to dwell on the actual reason as to why it happened, I didn't want to know what it means to lose someone whom you've planned your entire life with, they said she had complications before and during delivery but something tells me it's not the case but I'll soon find out.

My friends were assholes but they're my biggest supporters as well, we're just too busy to be sitting down on a good day like this and talking of the next blood to spill and the next kink to explore.

By the time I got back to my room, Valencia was fast asleep on my bed and I sighed, she does this whenever she's mad with anyone, coming to my room which was strictly out of bounds for anyone but she knows the passcode, she knows the secret passage way that lead to in and out of my room but I was so careful enough to let her know about the Red room, it would traumatise me for life if my daughter sees such bizarre stuff and ask me silly questions.

I tucked her in, and pulled the blankets closer to her before giving her a kiss on the forehead.

Kai came back and gave me the file that was meant for Elowen and I flipped through it.

Something wasn't adding up about her, she had parents that were not biologically hers but had amazing academic backgrounds, she's not from Asheville and not from her Parent's Pack either. Who's she? 

I closed the file and hated how invested I was in a woman that had barely lasted for two days. This was a distraction and I had better cut it off once my daughter gets her grades. 

“Do you want me to follow her closely, Alpha?” Kai asked and I shook my head and pushed the file back to him.

“There's no need for that, she'll be eliminated once my daughter fails her assessment.”

I don't care who she is, but my daughter's safety and success is in her hands so she had better not be a spy.
