JASON POV

I can't do this. I can't go back to a life without Amelia. My whole body craves her presence. Even if she only wants to be our friend, now that Jacks has ruined everything, I will take it.

Last night I stayed outside. I can't be near him. I can't believe his past might have cost us our mate. I knew it was going to be bad, and We both agreed that she would have to know eventually, but he should have waited. If we were mated and marked, she wouldn't have left.

I enter our packhouse looking like a homeless person, but I don't care. I just want to hideaway. The office is thankfully deserted. I've spent all morning grieving, but now I need to find her. I need to plead and beg.
