Queen Jeany groaned and would have retorted to his annoying brother, but Princess Lavenia had already stood up to end the foreseen petty argument and spoke.

“We need to send our royal guards to check the Dark Forest. In that way, we would know that the hunter is saying the truth or not,” Princess Lavenia suggested and her eyes went to Prince Arkin. “Stop answering the queen with your arrogance, Your Highness.”

Prince Arkin only glared at her coldly, remembering their intense conversation about Elizabeth the other night. The oldest princess seemed not fazed and just glanced at the queen instead.

“We can’t be bystanders when we now know that there are lurking monsters who are possibly planning to attack our kingdom,” Princess Lavenia added.

“On the other hand, that would be too dangerous,” Prince Ken said austerely. His eyeglasses sparkled when he looked at the royalties while firmly pursing his lips. “What if we send the royal guards and then just get killed by the vampires?”
