Ch 10

In the bathroom, Elora recalled how the rest of the day went after that dramatic ordeal she faced the second she entered school. She noticed that in the classes that followed, so many people were avoiding her and there were only two things she could think of to make them behave like that.

It was either the fact that she was human repulsed them or the fact they saw Roman help her after what Drew, Celine, and Sarah did to her. Maybe they feared what Roman would do to them if they bothered her but...she thought it was ridiculous for her to already start thinking that they were avoiding her because Roman saved her once. Sure he shared his sob story with her but it didn't necessarily mean that he would always be on ground to keep anyone else from bothering her.

But she recalled her last conversation with him. She had left the class after Drew specifically kept glaring at her the whole time and was planning on ditching school when Roman pulled her into an empty class and covered her mouth.
