It was total bullshit. All of it. From the moment Darren met Cecily he knew she was trouble. There was something about her face that rubbed him the wrong way. Something beyond that fake smile she kept plastered on. First, she interrupted his time with Elly. Then all of a sudden Elly has a sleeping spell. There was no way she could accomplish that without help. She wasn’t even interested in magic. That crazy bitch kidnapped his girl and now she had the audacity to lie to his face. Private property? Bullshit. When his family moved to the area they did their research. There were no covens around. There weren’t even any owners of the land around them. It belonged to the bank. So either they were squatting or they moved there sometime after Darren and his family. Either way, it was a problem.
