It’s not your fault

Franco’s POV.

As soon as we got in the car, Caden started to sing. His voice was pure and sweet, filling the car with a sense of peace and calm. I couldn't help but smile, my heart swelling with love for him.

He was only five years old, but he had a knack for bringing joy to any room he entered. His eyes were bright, and his smile was infectious, and I felt my worries melt away as I listened to him sing.

“Thank you, Uncle Franco,” he said, his voice full of gratitude.

“For what?” I asked, touched by his words.

“For being there for me and my siblings,” he said, his eyes shining with sincerity. “For being there for us when our dad couldn't be.”

My heart ached for him, for all that he had been through. I wanted to protect him, to keep him safe from the world.

“You are welcome, Caden,” I said, my voice thick with emotion.

“How about I get you and your siblings some snacks?” I suggested, wanting to do something to make him happy.
