Megan's POV
"I think I can't breathe; I felt so full," I mumbled as I leaned my back on my chair, and I heard my husband chuckle.
"I think I should prepare your breakfast every morning from now on; I am good at making pancakes," Ashton replied as he looked at me sideways while my son's face shone with excitement.
"Wow, I would love that," I responded.
"I love it too," Axel seconded, and his father beamed at him.
We got out of the restaurant with a full stomach and happy faces; as my husband drove my sister's car, I couldn't stop looking around and realized how much I missed my hometown.
"Shit, this is not good," I heard Ashton say as we neared our house, and when I raised my head, I realized there were reporters and photographers in front of our house, and I wondered what was going on.
"You don't need to get out of the car; you can turn around and let us come back later when they are all gone, Ashton," Ava replied.
I couldn't stop feeling anxious about what was going on, and when I fished out my phone from my pocket, I realized I got missed calls from my father.
"Gael is inside our house," I said after I read my dad's text message, and it was late for me to take back what I said since I could hear Axel's excited voice at the back.
"I want to see him, mom. I missed dad Gael too," Our son said, and I let out a soft sigh.
I turned my head and looked at my husband, and I could see a worried look on his face.
"I don't think he will leave unless I talk with him," I said to my husband.
"We had talked about this, but we didn't have time to visit him at his place," I added, and my husband took my hand.
"Yeah, I remembered, and I told you I would come with you," Ashton replied.
"What should we do now?" Ava asked.
"Let us wait for my men to take care of the media, and then we will get out of the vehicle. Axel, you need to wait, son; you will see your dad, Gael after those people will walk away." Ashton stated as he turned his head and looked at our son.
"Okay, dad," Axel replied with obedience, and I couldn't stop feeling worried about what Gael will going to do this time.
"Do you think he won't make a scene, Meg?" My sister asked.
"I don't know, Ava; ever since he found out I got back with Ashton, he became a different person, and I felt guilty," I responded.
"You don't need to feel that way, and he knew he got no chance with you," my sister replied, and I weakly smiled as I turned my attention to her.
"I don't know why he is in our house, I don't want him to harass our parents, but dad assured me; Gael was very polite, and he said he would wait for us," I replied.
"Our father texted me that he missed Axel, and he wanted to spend quality time with him," I added.
"He can play with us, mom, right dad?" Axel said with excitement, and my husband nodded as he said yes, but I could tell Gael's presence at my parents' house made my husband uneasy.
Ashton would always feel jealous of Gael, and I knew it would never be a good idea to have them in the same room, but I couldn't meet Gael without him, Ashton is now my husband, and I needed to tell Gael the truth.
The reporters who were waiting outside our house evaporated in an instant after my husband's men, together with the police officers, asked them to leave.
"I think it is now safe to get out of the car and meet your friend, Meg." My husband said, and I could feel the bitterness in his words.
Ashton opened my door before I could even climb out; he took me by the waist and slowly put my feet on the ground.
"Don't worry, Meg, I will control myself, and don't worry, I will never let him hurt you again." My husband whispered, and I knew he didn't want Axel to overhear what he was saying because he knew how much our son respected Gael like his own father.
"I am still grateful to him, and I will forever in debited to him, and I couldn't thank him enough for taking good care of you and Axel, but I just can't let him have you because you are only mine, Megan," Ashton added. I couldn't stop having butterflies in my stomach as I looked at my husband's compelling eyes.
I found it exciting, and he sounded so sexy as he told me I was his, and I couldn't stop giggling.
My sister walked towards the main door, and I felt my husband take my hand. I smiled when my son's little fingers curled with mine; together, we walked inside my parent's house. I could feel the nervousness of the anticipation of seeing Gael. I could hear my mom's laughter as we got inside.
"Dad!" My son yelled as he ran towards the famous singer of the country, and Gael's face lit up as he looked at Axel running to him. I could feel how much he cared about my son as he took him into his arms.
I couldn't stop feeling guilty that I didn't inform him that I married Ashton, but I knew it would make him angry, and I didn't have any idea how to tell him without hurting his feelings, but he needed to learn the truth from me.
"Can I speak with him alone?" I asked my husband softly as I found him looking at them; I know he was pleased that our son was so happy about his reunion with Gael.
I couldn't deny Gael looked so hot and handsome; that is why he was so popular with girls all over the country, young and old. But he couldn't make my heart flutters like the way I feel every time
Ashton looked at me, and he couldn't make my knees felt weak every time he was near me.
"Okay," my husband responded as he let go of my hand, and he turned his heels and walked away from me without taking a second look.
I let out a soft sigh, and I was hoping Gael came not to bring chaos into our home but to make peace with us. My parents excused themselves and left the living room right away.
I found my sister gaping at Gael, and I could tell, based on the expression on her face, she was star-struck by his hotness, and if it weren't Gael, I would be amused with Ava's reaction.
"Stop staring at him, Ava," I whispered, and she blushed.
"I am sorry, until now, I couldn't believe he looked this hot in person, Meg, and you are so lucky to have them in your life, Gael is as handsome as your husband, but I knew why you like Ashton more," Ava answered and I looked at her as I creased my forehead.
"He looked mysterious, and Ashton's smile would always make your knees feel weak." She added, and my sister was right.
Ava asked Axel to come with her to the kitchen so I could have a private moment with Gael, and I couldn't even meet his gaze.
Gael only wore a pair of faded jeans and a plain white shirt. I realized he had a haircut, he looked boyish like my husband, and I am sure she could have any girl he wanted.
"Hi, Meg," he said as he came closer to me.
"I missed you," he added.
"What are you doing here, Gael?" I asked, and I could see the pain that registered on his face.
"Ouch, that hurts, Megan. Didn't you miss me too?" He responded as he looked me in the eyes.
"Gael, you know I always wanted to be your friend, but after what happened to us, I don't think I can trust you to be around me. You almost hurt me," I responded.
"I am sorry, Meg, I knew I made a big mistake, but I came here today as a friend, Megan." He stated.
"How am I going to believe you?" I asked.
"Simple, you have to trust me like the way your trusted me when you left this place; you know I am not capable of hurting you. You have to trust your instinct." He declared.
"I am afraid I can't; how can I trust you again after you allowed Ashton's dad used you," I replied, and his face fell.
"I never expected you would be there, Megan, and when Mr. Pritzgold told me you are married to his son, I lost it; I felt so betrayed that you didn't even have the decency to tell me you will be tying the knot with Ashton." He responded, and I fell silent.
"I thought I was your friend; how could you not invite me to your wedding?" He asked.
"I was scared, Gael; what if you will beat Ashton? I don't want you to ruin our special day," I replied honestly.
"You know I can't beat your husband, he is good with martial arts, and Ashton is stronger than I am; he is an athlete, for heaven's sake, Megan. That is hilarious; you can give me another alibi other than that," he said.
"I don't want to hurt your feelings, Gael," I softly said, and his face softened.
"I will always feel the pain of losing you, Meg, and I don't know when I will stop feeling this way, but I want your friendship back. I was miserable when you stopped communicating with me." He answered.
"I hope you will give me a chance to be your friend again, and maybe we can start over." He added.
"Of course, but we can't be friends unless you will accept my husband. Ashton is part of who I am, Gael." I replied.
"I know, Megan, that is why I came here today; I wanted to be friends with Ashton and give him a chance to prove his worth that he deserves to have you as his wife. I am willing to do anything just to be part of your life and Axel again." Gael said, and I smiled at him.
"I want your friendship back, Megan; I was so lost without you," he added, and I could see the sincerity on his face.
"I promised to support you and Ashton, and you can still count on me," he continued.
"Thank you, Gael, I missed you too," I said, and he grinned at me, and I let out a sigh of relief as I realized I got my friend back.
Megan's POV"You looked so beautiful, Megan!" Alice exclaimed as she helped me with my veil."Thank you, Alice, I know you will be more beautiful than I am today on your wedding day," I responded."Ha! Don't make me laugh, Megan, you knew that is not true, you looked like a goddess while I am just an ordinary woman you can see walking on the street on an ordinary day." She responded and I shook my head."Stop that, you are beautiful, okay?" I insisted and she beamed at me before she hugged me."I am so happy for you, my best friend, so glad that the heavens favored you. You are marrying Ashton for the second time and your son is your ring bearer, and your family is complete." She declared."Yeah, I know, and I am so happy," I responded."We should get out of the car before your husband will come," Alice said and I laughed. She helped me with my gown as I got out of the bridal car, and I inhaled the fresh air, the day looked so bright and I could tell it is the best day of the year to
Megan's POV"What are you doing here?" Dexter asked right away after he opened the door of his place."Dex, aren't you happy to see us?" I asked my brother, and I could see the guilt on his face."I am busy now, Meg, Ashton, why didn't you call me?" He asked."It is something important and I hope you can spare us a little of your time," Ashton responded, and my brother sighed as he turned his back and opened the door wider so we could get inside."Have a seat," my brother said as he motioned us to sit on the sofa. His place was immaculate, and I could see that my brother was anxious like me."What do you want?" He asked as he sat in front of us."Well, I wished to invite you and be my best man since we are having our church wedding in less than a month." My husband replied, and my brother's face fell."I am sorry, but let us face it, if you will invite me, I will be bringing Monica with me. She is part of my life now, she is my fiancee, and it would be an insult on her part if I will
Megan's POV"No, that is not a good idea, Ashton," I said after I heard my husband speak about making my brother his best man for our upcoming church wedding."Why not? I want him to be present during our special day, Megan; I know it would make you happy. I knew what your heart desires, my love." He responded."Thank you for considering my feelings, Ashton, but my happiness will not matter anymore; I don't want Isabelle to be miserable on our wedding day," I responded, and he looked at me for a long time before he spoke."Megan, I don't think it will make my sister miserable; she will be happy to see your brother," he declared."Belle will be broken-hearted, Ashton, Dexter has a girlfriend now, and I hate him for turning his back on your sister." I responded with a sad expression on my face."Hey, we both know they are in love with each other, I am sure Dexter got tired of waiting, and it doesn't mean he didn't love my sister anymore." He insisted, and I raised my hands; I didn't wan
Ashton's POVMaking love with my wife would always make me feel excited and complete, and I couldn't explain the happiness I felt as I watched her sleeping peacefully in my arms after the hottest lovemaking we had ever shared. My wife turned me on like crazy, and I found it hard to stop my erection; the way she teased me blew my mind. Megan became bolder in bed, and I loved it, and I knew she only wished to please me.I was watching my wife's face with a beautiful smile on my face.I loved the feeling that I made her exhausted in bed. I knew we planned to have a night alone in the tree house, but something came up, but tomorrow night, it would be only for us, and I didn't want to stop surprising Megan.I wished to make her happy through simple things, and I knew my dad's offer was hard to decline. Marrying my wife for the second time would be the most especially gift we could give her, and I am excited since it was my father's plan.My dad and mom would be there standing beside me on
Megan's POVI know happiness was a gift from God, and after I gave Ashton's dad my forgiveness, I felt different. I didn't hate him, but I wanted to make Gregory accept me for what I am and as his son's wife.I couldn't deny there were moments in my life I wished I belonged to Ashton's world, but I realized I should be proud of who I am and what I have become."You looked so happy now, did your talk with my dad go well?" Isabelle asked when I saw her in the living room after speaking with my father-in-law."Thank God, Isabelle. Axel and I are officially part of your family," I answered with a broad grin."Of course, Megan, you were already part of our family after you gave birth to our nephew, and when you became our brother's wife, we became happier." She replied."Belle, you can't blame me for worrying because you know your father didn't accept me as your brother's wife. But right now, I was so overwhelmed with happiness that finally, your dad welcomed me as Ashton's wife." I declar
Ashton's POV"Can I have a word with you?" My dad asked me, and I nodded my head. We had been fishing for more than three hours, yet the boys were still having fun, especially my little boy.Axel had been shouting every time Lennon pulled out his fishing hook since he was the one who had been blessed to capture much fish. I was unlucky today; maybe the fishes on the lake felt the anxiousness that I felt in my heart.I was still apprehensive about my father's change of heart, and I couldn't stop myself from wondering if he was true to his words. My dad already fooled us once when he acted; he was so eager to meet and be with my wife, only to find out the truth later that he had another thing on his mind, and that was to humiliate my wife in front of everyone during the party he threw for us.He couldn't blame me if I doubted his intention at the moment. He looked so calm as he sat on the rock while I stood beside him, watching my grandpa Henry, Axel, and my brothers on the bank, waitin
