Chapter 1:
Like most people, I detested the noise of the alarm clock.
The moment the bell rang, I hurled the alarm clock from my head to the ground. “That old bastard, with the shrill ringing again!!” The alarm clock bounced and rolled on the floor.
I lingered in bed for a while, then got up barefoot, resigned to my dad’s experiment for the material water supplement nutrition. As I reached for the kettle, my foot suddenly felt something cold.
It was a mirror. “Well… I haven’t really looked at myself for a long time.”
I open it, and a face stared back at me: dark and gloomy, with pale and red eyeballs.

I sneered; the reflection of the woman in the mirror became hideous. ‘Just a little lunatic born of a lunatic, so maybe he was right…’ I rubbed my breasts and posed for a moment in front of the mirror. I savored my own image.
The computer suddenly came to life, delivering a voice message: “Hey, my lovely girl Cara, how have you been? This is your dad speaking. Our research has been going well lately, your mom really misses you. So we talked for a while and decided to invite you to visit us and see our research. Also happy birthday, our baby girl:) Did you receive our gift? We hope you like it!”
As I listened to this message, I was reminded of a package that had arrived a few days ago. According to this, it must have been the gift that my dad had mentioned. This was unusual because even if they were busy with work, they would always come back to celebrate my birthday with me. I tried to suppress the sadness in my heart and walked to the corner of the door. I found the package and opened it: a Sony DV with a blue case, a map, and a ticket.
I was still puzzled by why my dad had given me this. He was a biologist, and he had never done this before. Usually, his previous gifts to me were various biological specimens that he had collected from around the world. Of course, with a little card like this:

“What the hell does he want?” I wondered as I put down the DV; then I picked up the ticket on the table. The ticket was dated 07:00 am on September 1st.
“Excuse me? Tomorrow at 7 am !!What an amazing gift!” I was annoyed by this disrespectful schedule. I had to hurry to pack; when I turned around to start. On the bottom right of the computer, I saw something：
