Xavier's P.O.V

I was not only in a complete state of shock but I was extremely flabbergasted when Irene suddenly pushed me away from her and quickly ducked her head while fiddling with her fingers.

"M-Master" She stuttered, squeezing her eyes shut as she bit the corner of her lower lips as if she existed in deep regret of something. My brows furrowed in nothing but utter confusion while wondering what must have caused her to react like that. I attempted to grab her by the wrist and pull her toward me but she retracted her step backward and kept glancing behind me.

I turned to look behind me only to see Steve and Kourtney standing at the door. Steve lowered his head as soon as he locked eyes with me and when I averted my gaze toward Kourtney, there was a flicker of rage in her eyes as her eyes reddened.

"What are you doing here? I thought you said that you wouldn't be coming back home today?" Her heart rose and fell steadily as she shot me a glare. All of a sudden she charged toward he
