CHAPTER 2— MUST BE FREEDOM ON THE BRAIN

Kiara’s hand clenched against the floor, a broken moan falling from her lips as pleasure like no other surged through her. There was this desire within her that had her shaky hands gripping onto the shirt he wore. She didn’t understand it, to a ruthless man like him, she wanted to be close...

Her legs trembled, and the panty she wore felt drenched...what was happening...? What’s thi...?

The sharp teeth that had been shoved into her neck retracted and the softness of his tongue lapped at the little blood that trickled.

Kiara pushed back against the walls, her eyes finding his as heat slowly devoured her lungs. She felt as though she was burning in a pit of hell, her inner flesh, her outer one; it all felt as though it was crumbling...

And it was so painful...

Whimpering, she watched as the evil man’s eyes changed from red to obsidian; the same colour they had been that day. They were just as serious, just as cold and anger invaded them when his eyes floated around the room before fixating back on her. “Are you really the one..? A pitiful swine such as you...you’re the destined one I’ve been waiting for all my life? The moon goddess must’ve thought of me as a joke.”

He chuckled, the sound not at all humorous. “I don’t care how long I’ve waited, I want nothing to do with someone as weak as you...I’d rather die.”

He shuffled away from her and Kiara reached for him when flames licked against her skin. “Pl...please...what did you do to me? I...Is it poison?”

Her hands gripped her shaking thighs, tears blurring her vision as the need to creep closer to him consumed her. An unknown want lingered in the pit of her stomach and it was killing her... Slowly but surely...

Her little nipples were standing stiff, the breeze that blew brutality against them making her feel uncomfortable. Her body wanted something from him, but she couldn’t tell just what...the cure...?

The alpha in front of her scowled. “See? Weak... pitiful...one bite and you’ve gone straight into heat...I will not help, after all I will not touch someone as disgusting as you.”

He stood to his feet and Kiara whimpered for a man she had hated all her life, her body trembling even though she felt hot. “Plea-se...”

He clenched his jaw, walking over to the bars he had destroyed. He wouldn’t look back, no matter how long he had waited, he wouldn’t look back no matter how painful this night would be for her, he wouldn’t look back, he wouldn’t!

This wasn’t how it was suppose to go, she wasn’t suppose to be his mate...she wasn’t suppose to even be alive...but he supposed that if she died...he’d die too...

You see, he was cursed...around the world, he was known as the first alpha cruel enough to be cursed by the goddess herself... There were pins and needles in his heart, it felt as though tight strings were tied around it...

A prophecy came to the elders almost ten years back, he had ten years to live before it killed him, and the only way to loosen the strings was finding his mate.

Today was only a month away from the date he was given and it seemed the goddess had decided to pity him...but what was this she had given him?

What kind of mate was this?

She gave him one of the very creatures who made him cursed in the first place...

The parasites he had crushed...

The idiots who couldn’t strive on their own...

The pathetic beings who craved protection like cubs...

The impotent and scornful things that only knew how to stick to the strong like glue...

Was it wrong of him to get rid of them?

They served no purpose...and moreover the weak had no reason to survive and...surprisingly his father was one of them...

Too weak to have survived, so weak that he had made weaker than him kill him...

Fool...Zique wouldn’t let that happen to him... That creature on the floor was nothing to him... She would only be his pillar; the scum who’s only purpose was to preserve his life...

She was his mate, but he’d never love her...loving the weak would only make him weak, so instead he’d make her suffer until she wished she had been the one who died those years ago.

Turning to face her, he watched as her fingers scraped against her skin until it bled, her watery eyes so pitiful but his iron heart did not waver. “Pl...please I...it hurts...I don’t know what’s wrong...I don’t I...”

“If you wish to see the sunlight again, get up now, otherwise, this dungeon will be your whole life.”

Kiara tried getting up, but her body was weak enough to have her falling right back onto her bum. This was her chance, she was being freed and yet, she couldn’t even move...

Her eyes watered, her hands pressing against the wall for leverage...she couldn’t miss the chance, she had to get up, she wanted to be set free...she had to stand...!

After a lot of effort, on her shaking legs she eventually stood, staggering behind him as he walked...her eyes were pinned on his back and every time her knees buckled and she fell, she forced herself to get up again...

She had to show him that she wasn’t weak, that was the only way he’d let her live and despite her past, she wanted to live....

I think that she is really strong , I don't that she is weak at all. The years she spent locked away it takes a strong person to live through that.

To make her wish she was dead. He’s not only mean but dumb. She could actually kill herself and he’d die too.
