Author's POV

“You could have called for me. You don’t have to stress yourself,” Jerry said as he watched the heavily pregnant Zelda walking towards him.

“Well, exercise is good for the baby. Besides, I’m pregnant, not crippled, Jerry.” Zelda replied amusingly.

Jerry burst into laughter, and Zelda chuckled along with him. However, the moment their laughter died down, her expression changed slightly as she went straight to the question she had been waiting to ask.

“How many prisons do we have her

  • The Luna They Buried    Zelda’s Pregnancy

Author's POVZelda decided not to give Leah the satisfaction she so desperately craved.Instead, she did the exact opposite. She played along. She pleaded with Vance to lessen the servant's punishment and even helped arrange to register the child under the servant’s name. What mattered most to Zelda was that the child was safe and well cared for. Whether the child was Olivia’s sister or daughter no longer mattered to her. She had done what she could, and that was enough.Leah, however, was far from pleased with the outcome. Her fingers clenched tightly around the apple she was holding as she watched everything unfold.“That witch!” she cursed under her breath. She had come up with what she considered a brilliant plan, something that would have made Zelda look like a completely psychotic pregnant woman in front of everyone. Yet, somehow, Zelda had managed to turn the entire situation around.Leah took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. There was no point allowing the anger to

  • The Luna They Buried    Olivia’s Child

Author’s POV The resemblance was unmistakable. The little girl looked almost exactly like Olivia. Her eyes, her nose, even the shape of her face. It was as though someone had taken Olivia and made a smaller version of her.Zelda stared at the child, then slowly shifted her gaze to the servant. Suddenly, everything began to make sense. This was Leah’s escape plan.Without thinking twice, Zelda walked towards them and took the little girl from the servant’s arms.“This child belongs to you?” she asked, looking directly at the girl. The servant immediately nodded. “Yes.” Then she dropped to her knees again. “Please forgive me. I know what I did was wrong. I was only trying to keep my job.”Zelda ignored her plea. “What is her name?”“Erm…” The servant hesitated, as though trying to remember. “Livy.”Zelda looked down at the little girl. “Livy, come here, sweetheart.”But the child didn’t move. She stood quietly, her fingers in her mouth, looking around at the strange faces surrounding h

  • The Luna They Buried    The Child Behind The Tree

Author's POV"Which girl is that?"The voice was familiar. Zelda turned slowly and found Vance and Jerry standing shoulder to shoulder, arms folded across their chests. She forgot her swollen feet and rushed to Vance. “The doctor is trying to smuggle out Olivia’s sister, and I’m trying to find her before they get away!” she explained hurriedly.Vance caught her hand before she could take another step.“Olivia’s sister?” he repeated, his brows drawing together.“The one she mentioned in the letter. Her sister!” Zelda explained impatiently.Vance exchanged a confused glance with Jerry. Neither of them seemed to understand what she was talking about.Meanwhile, the guards were still holding the doctor against the car. He glanced at Zelda before turning his attention to Vance.“I don’t know why she stopped the car, Alpha. She's been screaming about Olivia’s sister since, and I don’t even know who Olivia’s sister is. I suspect it’s pregnancy hysteria,” he said, shaking his head as though h

  • The Luna They Buried    Which Girl?

Author’s POV Finally, the day of the doctor’s departure arrived. As planned, Zelda and Mia had gone close to the pack’s boundary under the excuse of taking a walk for the sake of the baby. They weren’t alone, however. A few guards accompanied them, making their presence appear harmless.More importantly, Zelda had managed to steal Vance’s exit token the previous night, shortly after making peace with him and sharing a rather sweet moment together. She had been careful enough to return everything to its original position before he noticed it was missing. Now, standing before the guards at the boundary, she brought out the token and flashed it.After examining it, the guards immediately stepped aside and allowed them to pass.Mia glanced around nervously as they walked away from the boundary.“Are you sure this is safe?” she whispered.Zelda glanced at her. “We’re not going far, and besides, we have guards with us. What could possibly happen?”Mia wasn’t entirely convinced, but she fol

  • The Luna They Buried    Rescue Plan

Author's POVThe closer Vance came, the harder Leah's palms pressed into the edge of the table. Sweat gathered at her hairline and slid down her temple, and she prayed he would mistake it for anything but fear.“And you have gained weight too. What’s going on, Leah?” Vance asked as he walked closer to her.Leah knew she had to act fast, and she did.One step before he could stand over her, Leah doubled over and coughed, a dry, rattling sound that shook her shoulders. She pressed a fist to her mouth and waved her other hand weakly in the air."It's the flu," she rasped. "You know how the chills come with it. The sweating is normal." She straightened slowly and managed a tired laugh. "And if you had rested the way I have, I promise you would earn an extra pound or two as well."She finished with a little laugh, hoping her explanation would be enough to convince him.Vance stopped. For a moment he only studied her, then the tension in his face loosened. "Hmm. I see. Well, the weight look

  • The Luna They Buried    Too Many Clothes

Author’s POV The door opened, and Vance stepped inside. And something unexpected happened. She burst into tears.Even Leah was surprised by her own reaction. She tried to stop herself, but the tears only came harder.“Damn these hormones,” she cursed under her breath. This wasn’t how she had planned it at all. She was supposed to act as though there was an emergency, hand Vance the letter, say a few convincing words, and get him to make the decision she wanted.Instead, here she was, crying before she had even said a word.Vance was immediately taken aback.“Are you okay, Leah?” he asked, walking closer.Leah quickly wiped her cheeks, but the tears wouldn’t stop. Since she couldn’t seem to control her emotions, she decided to make use of them.“It’s nothing. I’m just in my feelings,” she muttered.Vance squinted slightly.“Are you sure?” he asked, taking a seat opposite her.Leah let out a small, bitter laugh. “Why? Are you going to console me? Rub my shoulders and peck my forehead l
