Georgina Sinclair's POV:
When I step inside the house, my chest tightens in an instant after seeing my husband for the first time after I collapsed from too much pain. But right now, Ryan is casually sitting in the main hall with Danica sitting right beside him as if they rightfully belong to each other. My boots click on the floor when I walk in. The rage my heart is spreading through my body. "So you're determined to show your disgusting affair in the public?" I coldly said. "And now you are parading your mistress in our home?" Ryan's eyes angrily snaps at me in an instant. "Don't start me, Georgina." "Don't start?" I said before laughing bitterly. "She's not even your mate, Ryan. And yet here she is, comfortably sitting beside you like she now owns my place." "Please, Luna..." Danica murmurs in a pitiful voice. "Don't be angry at him. Alpha Ryan is only acting like this because he cares about me." Then tears start pooling in her eyes. "I'm the intruder in your marriage. I know that. So maybe I should pack my things and go." Then Danica stands up as if she is now ready to leave. "As you should." I angrily snap. "Georgina!" Ryan's loud voice cracks like a whip. Then he stands up while showing his Alpha aura and it slams to me like a strong tidal wave. My throat tightens with each breath. "Alpha Ryan, please don't do that." Danica said before reaching for his arm. "Don't be so hard on Luna Georgina." She wipes at her tears with trembling fingers then turns to me. "Luna Georgina, I know you hate me. But I swear to stay out of your way. I'll be invisible from now on." When her voice breaks, Ryan strokes her back gently in circles. Then Danica gazes at him with trembling devotion in her eyes. "I still love Ryan." she whispered. "The truth is, Alpha Ken tortured me when we were still together. But I ran away when he almost killed me after his drunken spur." Then Danica lifts her eyes to look at me. "During those times, I realized who is the man I really love." she whimpered. "Luna Georgina, I know it is selfish to come back. But I can't pretend I don't love Alpha Ryan at all." Seeing her like this, Ryan wraps his arms around Danica's body. "Don't cry, Danica." he murmured. Danica glances at me again and speaks in a cracking voice. "I will act like a ghost in this house. Just... Please don't throw me out." "No one is throwing you out!" Ryan growls before locking his sharp eyes with me. "I am the Alpha of this pack. I will decide who will stay here." Then he turns his attention back to Danica and kisses her forehead softly. After that, Ryan turns to me with a barely controlled anger on his face. "I need to speak with you. Follow me!" I follow him upstairs silently while ignoring how my heart is pounding inside my chest. But when I look back, Danica is smirking. As soon as we enter our shared room, Ryan closes the door shut. "What the hell is wrong with you, Georgina?!" Ryan growls. "Why are you treating Danica like this? She is not the one at fault, Georgina! I am! I chose this." When I remain silent, he continues. "Do you really think she begged me to stay? She is the girl I loved before I even met you. She has been through hell. And all she wants now is some damn comfort!" "Do I look like I care about her when she doesn't even have any ounce of respect for me?" I asked him back. "What?" "And what about me, Ryan? I am your mate! The Moon Goddess gave her blessing to our marriage! Do you even care what that means?" But instead of being guilty, Ryan's eyes becomes dark. "That's enough, Georgina! An alpha having more than one lover is not uncommon. And you?" Ryan laughs at me before he continues. "You cannot satisfy me. Not even once. But Danica gets me. She can give me whatever I need. So I am not leaving her. And that's final. Do you hear me?" "Ryan..." "But you will still be my Luna." he softly added. Ryan then gently squeezes my hand. My body flinches but the bond we shares is betraying me. My body is still longing for him. And I hate it. And I am about to soften my stance, a subtle noise pricks my senses. There is a subtle movement on the other side of the door. It was Danica. I step closer to Ryan and curls his arms around my waist. I am clinging to the only thread of truth that I have right now. And fortunately, his body responds to me in an instant. “We're mates, Ryan. You can't deny that." I whispered softly. "But if you really can't let her go, then reject me now." I can feel his body stiffening while staring at me with eyes widen in surprise. "What?" he asked. "What are you..." "Reject me." I said again. "End the bond we are sharing now." "No!" he sharply said. "I will not reject our bond. We are still mates!" Before I can speak, the door bursts open. Danica is now standing there. She looks at us and covers her mouth. "R-Ryan..." In the blink of an eye, her tears begin to flow down her cheeks before she turns around and runs. "Danica, wait!" Ryan pushes himself away from me and chases after her. "Danica, listen to me! My bond with her is nothing at all!" Hearing those words, I can not help but collapse to the floor and starts crying again. A week later, the pain I feel is still affecting me too much. The bond I am sharing with Alpha Ryan is starting to rots inside me and turning my own soul against me. Rose sometimes brings me comforting meals hoping that it can help me even for a while. But I am physically sick and spiritually poisoned because of the pain coming from my broken bond with Ryan. One night, I start thinking logically on what can I do after this. If I try to leave, Ryan can possibly label me a rogue. Or worse, he might imprison me and parade me to our pack as their failed Luna and a traitor. The humiliation that I might get from that will definitely shatter the remaining respect that I have for myself. So I turn to the one thing I still rely on. It is my strength. Although I stop showing how capable I am when it comes to fighting after I married Alpha Ryan, it doesn't mean I cannot do it anymore. So I walk onto the fighting grounds to start training my body again. Everyone is looking at me but I ignore them all. They are probably not expecting to see me here after what they heard what happened to me and Alpha Ryan. While I'm doing some light stretches, Gamma Ver approaches me. "Luna Georgina." she respectfully said while bowing her head. "May I spar with you?" I stare at her for a second before nodding my head once. Soon, we start our sparring session. She is quick and precise. Her movements are sharper too. But I am faster that her. My fists fly and lands a kick on her body. After giving her one last kick, I send her sprawling to the dirt. Soon, the others start clapping their hands and cheering for us. "Go, Luna Georgina! You can do it!" Ver clicks her tongue before she shifts into her wolf. Seeing this, I give her a smile before I give in to Lira. My wolf meets her mid-air and slams Ver to the ground with my fangs brushing on her throat. She lowers her stance and submits to me. And when I shift back, I raise my fist and the cheers become louder. Ver shifts back and smiles at me. "It's good to spar with you again, Luna Georgina." "Likewise, Gamma Ver." While we are talking, I hear a familiar voice calling me from behind. "Hello, Luna Georgina." I turn around and sees Danica standing behind us. Her hands are clasped to make her look like a helpless damsel that she plays so well these days. "What do you want?" I asked in a flat voice. "Luna, I know your wolf is really strong. And I really admire it." Danica murmured. "So can you train me so I can become strong too?" "No." I replied in an instant while accepting a bottled water from Ver. "O-Oh..." Danica said while lowering her head. "I... I'm just asking because Alpha Ryan said you were the best person who can help me train..." My eyes narrows at her. "My husband told you that?" Yes, Luna." Danica replied with a nod. "But you're a Beta. As a Beta, you should know how to fight." In our world, most of the Betas are warriors. Once they learned they are a Beta at the age of thirteen, they will start learning how to fight. "But it's been a long time since I last train because Alpha Ken didn't like it. And I'm sure I already lost my sharp edges too." "Hah." "Please, Luna Georgina." she pleaded in a soft voice. "I know I am basically a stranger now. But I also cannot disobey Alpha Ryan's orders." "His orders, huh?" I mocked. But at the same time, my jaw clenches in both anger and frustrations. How can I refuse if Ryan really ordered it? In the end, I grind my teeth then gives Danica a short and curt nod.Georgina Sinclair's POV:Ryan curled up on the ground while still holding onto his side where Marius's kick had landed. He breathed raggedly and shallowly. The venom was still in his eyes although the pain was obvious in his body."You really have no shame in coming here, do you?" Marius sharply growled. Before I could say anything, Marius's boot came down hard again and striking the same injured spot.Ryan's scream tore through the courtyard. It was loud enough to make the omegas flinch behind me. The sound was sickening, but... Heavens, it was satisfying to hear. My fists clenched at my sides as I watched him writhe. The rage from his earlier words still burning hot in my chest. He had insulted me. Marius. Everything I had been through. And for that, a small part of me wanted him to feel every ounce of pain I had endured under his so-called leadership and as his so-called mate."Pathetic." Marius angrily spat. As if to assure me that I wasn't alone, Marius lightly touched my arm i
Georgina Sinclair's POV:The morning light was making the whole mansion looked brighter. Marius left early because he had an important meeting this morning. But before he left, Marius promise to take me out to lunch. After I finished my morning tea, one of Marius' Betas approached me. "Lady Georgina..." he cautiously began before bowing slightly. "Alpha Ryan is outside again."My entire body went rigid at his words. I set the teacup down carefully even though my hands trembled with irritation. "Ryan?" I repeated. The Beta nodded grimly. "Yes. He's been standing outside the gates for nearly an hour now and shouting for you. He refuses to leave."I sighed deeply and exhaustedly. He was well aware that it was risky and suicidal to enter Marius's territory once more. But here he was again, yelling at the gates like a crazy person. At first, I wanted to ignore his presence and let him yell until the sun set over his stubborn head. My time was no longer worth him.But his voice was getti
Georgina Sinclair's POV:I lay sprawled across Marius's huge bed. I put my cheek on his pillow before letting out a little sigh when his strong hands relieved the tension in my back. Each stroke was firm and relaxing. His thumbs were busy tracing slow circles on my shoulders."You know..." I murmured. "I think I could get used to it.""I told you I would give you that massage earlier. I always keep my promises to you.""You did promise." I admitted while smiling to myself. "Although you didn't tell me it would feel this good.""That's because I enjoy spoiling you." The room fell silent for a moment after that."Georgina..." Marius called while his hands paused briefly before resuming their soothing motion. "Hmm?""Alisa and I first met when she applied for a position at my company." Marius suddenly said. "She was smart and had a natural charm that attracted people to collaborate with her. I quickly recognized her abilities. So a few months later, I promoted her as our manager."I li
Georgina Sinclair's POV:Marius was about to lead us to the living room when Alisa suddenly called him out."Aren't you going to introduce me to the lady beside you, Alpha Marius?"I got chills the way she said it. But Marius made a snap decision before I could react. Grasping my waist with one arm, he drew me on his side. "This is Georgina Sinclair." Marius said in an authority that left no room for doubt.Alisa's perfectly arched brows raised a little but Marius continued before she could say a word."She is my girlfriend." he proudly declared. "And soon-to-be Luna of my pack."Marius's open declaration of his love for me especially in front of someone like Alisa made my heart race even though I already knew how much he cared.Alisa's lips parted for a moment. Her composure slipping before she recovered with an incredulous laugh. "Luna?" she slowly echoed. There was something calculating in the way Alisa looked at me now. But her perfect smile never faltered."Yes." Marius said i
Georgina Sinclair's POV:The kitchen smelled of herbs and spices. I slowly stirred the pot while Lydia peeled the potatoes. The boiling water, clinking silverware and steady chop of knives made a calm and soothing sound around us."You should go to you room and rest, Lady Georgina. I will call you when dinner is ready." Lydia kindly said."I could do that. But I do not want to. I just need to do something, Lydia." I said and tied my hair loosely in a knot to keep it from falling forward. "Also, don't be like Marius. He's been trying to make me sit still all day."Lydia chuckled before putting the potatoes on the counter. "He only wants to take care of you.""I know." I admitted with a soft laugh. "But he doesn't realize that keeping me still makes me restless. After staring at documents for hours, I need to move."My smile faltered slightly as my mind drifted to those very documents. For the past several days, I'd been sorting through the mountain of paperwork tied to my businesses.
Georgina Sinclair's POV:The two of us moved to his room and sat down together on the edge of his bed. His hand was warm in mine. It's larger and rougher. And yet, Marius didn't pull away. This time, he stayed still. His thumb brushed faintly against my skin absentmindedly like he was lost in his own head."I want us to have a proper conversation." I finally said. "Not just surface words. I need us to talk about these things, Marius."For once, he didn't tease or deflect with a grin or a careless shrug. He just look at me in silence. But it was his permission for me to continue. Then I gently squeezed his hands and talked. "I want to speak with you if something similar happens again. Don't keep it inside. Please do not leave me out."Marius slowly blinked his eyes. Then a small smile appeared at his lips."Now you know how it feels."I frowned a little before leaning closer. "Marius, I'm being serious."He gave me a quiet laugh at my face. Something about it was so soft that it hurt
