Aiden’s POV

As I stomped into my chamber, my fists clenched tight, and I felt like steam might burst from my ears.

Chloe's words were still echoing in my mind, her accusations like daggers aimed straight at my heart. How dare she?

Who did she think she was, speaking to me like that? Did she have any idea who I was? I was seething with rage as I slammed the door shut behind me.

I stormed to my table, the anger boiling inside me like a raging inferno.

Without a second thought, I grabbed hold of it and hurled it at the wall with all my might.

The satisfying crash of wood meeting stone echoed through the chamber as splinters flew in every direction.

But even as the splinters everywhere erupted around me, it wasn't enough to quell the storm raging within.

"I'm the Lycan King!" I roared at the top of my lungs, the words reverberating off the walls. "I make the decisions, and nothing—nothing—can stand in my way!"
