For a second, I felt a surge of triumph. This was my window. If they went to the garden, I'd have twenty minutes to get into his room and find that diary.

But then, I saw my phone sitting on the side table.

"What is my phone doing here?"

Rita, who was standing on the side, answered. "One of the maids brought it down because it was ringing. Young Master Ryan took it."

…Ryan?

I frowned, picked it up, and tapped on the screen.

The screen lit up.

A missed call and one text.

Unknown Number.

  • The Mad Lycan King's Wrong Luna   35. Do I look like him?

Author's POV Something inside Cassian snapped the moment she whispered his name.“Cassian… please.”Her voice was barely audible, fragile and desperate, but it struck something deep and primal inside him. He had heard women beg before — for mercy, for pleasure, for survival. Every shade of desperation and submission. But this… this was different. This was instinct. And he hated how much he liked it.His gaze dropped to her trembling fingers clutching his shirt. Her grip was weak and unsteady, like he was the only thing keeping her from collapsing. For a man who had spent his life feeling nothing, the sight sent a dark, unfamiliar surge through his veins. His jaw tightened.Without another word, he slid one arm beneath her knees and the other around her back, lifting her into his arms in one smooth, powerful motion. She didn’t fight him.Instead, she melted against his chest, soft and burning hot, her uneven breath fanning across his neck. Her body moulded to his like it belonged ther

I looked away from Ryan and walked with Roxanne. There was no way Ryan would do something to me in Roxanne's presence. Besides, Estelle and Joel know we stepped out together. I convinced myself and tried to relax. The moment we stepped inside, everything hit me at once. Lights. Sound. Bodies moving too close, too fast. The air was thick—perfume, alcohol, heat. I stiffened… This felt wrong... All of it. And then it got worse."Isabelle!"I turned and saw Stella and Dominic. Two more cousins from the celebratory dinner. The obnoxious siblings. They were smiling and laughing; apparently, they were already present. Which meant they were waiting for us. My chest tightened."You didn't tell me they were coming," I said under my breath. Roxanne blinked innocently. "Ryan thought it'd be more fun this way." Of course… Ryan… And, obviously, this was his idea of fun: catching me off guard. I shot him a glare and gave him a look that said 'fuck you'. The jerk smirked, probably enjoying

  • The Mad Lycan King's Wrong Luna   33. That was the problem

Yvette's POV I fled to my room on shaky legs, stormed into the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face. "Ugh, Yvette, what is wrong with you?" I muttered under my breath. This wasn't the time to be getting affected by Cassian. I needed to get my head straight. I needed to be clear-headed, especially with Ryan hovering around having leverage on my head. I walked back and plopped myself on the bed. Now that I had lost the perfect opportunity to find the diary, I needed to come up with another plan. I needed something to gain leverage over Ryan. The silver lining was that I still have a few days left before the meeting. I must find a way out. One mistake and I lose everything. I might even put the Quinns in danger. That's why I couldn't keep facing Cassian with my head in the clouds and my emotions all over the place. I must kill all these feelings growing within me.But how do I stop something that keeps growing each single second? I can't help the attraction I feel toward

  • The Mad Lycan King's Wrong Luna   32. You're mine

Cassian was standing too close now. Way too close. His gaze didn’t leave my face. Not even for a second. The air between us was thick, heavy and suffocating, like an invisible noose had just snapped tight around us. My back pressed harder against the cold marble wall, but there was nowhere left to run. He reached up slowly, his movements deliberate. His thumb brushed my cheek first—warm, calloused, sending sparks racing across my skin. Then his fingers found the frame of my glasses. My breath hitched. He slid them off with agonising slowness. The world blurred at the edges, but he remained painfully clear—sharp jaw, stormy blue eyes, and that dangerous hunger simmering beneath the surface. Cassian stared at the glasses in his hand for a brief moment, as if they were some kind of evidence, then looked back at me. His eyes had darkened further. “You shouldn’t say things like that,” he murmured, voice low and rough. My pulse stuttered.“Men like me… we don’t hear innocence in words

The silence in the room was deafening. I could feel my pulse thundering in my throat. I looked at Ryan, silently glaring at him to leave us alone. Why was he even stalling? Ryan finally relented, though his expression was one of pure venom. He grabbed Roxanne's arm. "Come on, Roxy. His Majesty wants us out of his way."They brushed past Cassian. As Ryan passed him, I saw their shoulders nearly collide. The jerk didn't forget to glance at me, a subtle smirk playing on his lips, and a look that said, "This isn't over." The room cleared. Joel and Estelle vanished into the hallway, sensing the danger. Randy pulled the heavy doors shut, leaving me alone with the storm. Cassian didn't move. He just stood there, breathing heavily, his eyes boring into mine as if he were trying to strip the skin from my bones to see what was underneath."You didn't pick up," he said, his voice full of rage."I... I was busy. I didn't see the phone," I said, my voice trembling. He moved then, so fast I

Cassian. I scrolled to the call log and my blood went cold. One call had been answered.I looked at Ryan. He was still being hovered over by Roxanne, but he met my gaze with a cool, mocking tilt of his head. He had touched my phone. He had spoken to him."Did you touch this?" I whispered, stepping toward him as Roxanne distracted herself with her own reflection in a gilded mirror."Your phone was ringing quite insistently," Ryan replied, his voice ba
