Those people chasing each other ran through the school again while the students weren't concerned. It wasn't the first time something like this was happening, they were used to things like this already. Vera watched this in the a corner as she was trying to study some basics while eating her lunch, which was some junk food. She didn't understand how these elite werewolves didn't have much dignity and they kept chasing each other around like this with no context. “There they go again.” she rolled her eyes. But it was none of her business because she was going to graduate in a year as this was the beginning of her last year in the elite Moon Academy. The biggest ant most important werewolf academy in the world. It held a lot of the most important werewolves, coming from large packs, rich families and royal backgrounds. A lot of which are here to compete for the best match because that is one of the main reasons so many students come here. They don't just have werewolves but they also have humans because this is involved in which they live together. Humans from also rich families also want s the greatest match as this will be a big ally for them not to be hunted by werewolves. There's not a lot of them so they are considered the lowest of the chain, if they come from a very influential family. This session was different as the biggest Alphas from the biggest packs allied with the royal family ruling everyone, were in the school. This also meant the Alpha prince heir was also there. Vera shook her head as she felt like it was ridiculous. She was also part of the lowest chain as you were seen as an Omega, which basically meant she was as useless as a human. Not only that, she didn't come from a well-off family so she was here on scholarship. I mean goal is to graduate with good results so that he can get jobs wherever she wants. Because coming from this academy, meant her future was going to be smoother if she had good results. She was already lucky enough to get him here two years ago and she did her best. She tried her best to stay away from getting noticed by anyone. She wouldn't try to be thr main character in anyone's story, or attract attention to herself when she's already an Omega. Watching the students do all sort of activities together, she just focused back on her books. She didn't have much combat ability which she have to cover with her intellectual ability. That's the only way she could survive if she wanted to graduate well without being picked on. She didn't try to stay at the top either, leaving that spot for people who were important. Results always shown for the top 100 people, and she always was around the top 80 but she wasn't noticed by anyone because that's what didn't matter to most of them. The top 20 were the most important people in the school. This was because she tried her best to balance it, therefore she wasn't seen unknown by anyone for the past two years. “Being able to study here is my good fortune, I wouldn't make more out of it. I just want to graduate in peace and not be noticed by anyone.” she told herself over and over again, every time she studied. After a while of studying and eating, she decided to go back to her dorm room. She had a good relationship with her roommate who were the only ones she had as friends in the school. But they were in different classes because they had different ambitions. However, they still have a good relationship over the years. They were not exactly omegas and they didn't come from a poor family like her, but they also didn't come from big packs. So coming from a big pack still mattered and the best they could do was to come to this school to build up their connection. That was the only reason they were sent here, so all four of them had a good relationship because they felt like they were all the same. “Vera, where have you been? I've looked everywhere for you. I thought you said you wanted to study? Why didn't you go to the library?” the blonde girl, Andrea asked her. Vera smiled at her, “I don't think I could stay at the library with all that commotion. Didn't you see how they were chasing each other around?” Xena moved closer to them, she was a brunette with green eyes. She came from a much better pack than Andrea but she was the kindest of everyone else. “I know you feel wronged by those people but there's nothing we can do. Even if they are first year students.” Xena said. Vera already heard this so many times, there wasn't anything she could say anyway even if she felt wronged by this. She didn't want any attention to herself so it was the best thing for her. The last roommate who was the strongest of them came in. She had dark hair with brown eyes and even though she looked ordinary, she had the most unique beauty out of all of them. “Camellia, where have you also been?” Xena asked her. Camellia shrugged, “I just feel like there's so much strange things happening in the school lately.” She explained, “I was going to train a little bit more but it was occupied by the alphas, and of course his highness. So I had to leave.” “I think it's okay Camellia. You can always do that tomorrow, you know we can't cross them.” vera comforted her. What she didn't want the most in her life was to have anything to do with any popular person in the school. But there was a fact which remained that no one else in the school but her knows. She wasn't going to let it be known to anyone anyway, which is the reason she has to stay in the lowest point to avoid attention. “Oh no!” Andrea suddenly gasped, “I think I forgot my pendant in the class! I took it off when we were having a test earlier.” The pendant was important to Andrea as it was meant to be a sort of protection that her parents got for her before she came into the school, just so she could survive being attacked one day. But she held on it as something sacred because it was given to her by her parents obviously. “Vera, can you accompany me back to the classrooms? I need to get my pendant from the class.” Andrea asked her. She nodded, “Of course, let's go.” They both left the dormitory to get what Andrea's pendant. Vera waited outside the class to help her watch for anyone coming as she looked for what she wanted. The entire time, Vera felt very strange. She felt like she was being watched but she didn't want to be paranoid. It was already evening and they were not supposed to be in the classes when the dormitory was about to be closed. So of course she had to be careful. Just when she wanted to go in and check on Andrea, she heard some footsteps coming in. She looked into the class and Andrea already hid herself, she couldn't go in there to avoid being noticed. So she started running, but strangely enough she was being followed even though she was careful. She ran all the way to the rooftop, it wasn't her first time of hiding like this anyway. However, she might have come at the wrong time. Because she happened to see what she wasn't supposed to see. Her eyes widened as she looked at the sight in front of her, her knees went weak immediately. She couldn't think as she wanted to run away, but she was surrounded in the blink of an eye. “Where do you think you are going?” came the chilling voice behind her.The next morning arrived faster than Vera expected. She barely slept.Every time she closed her eyes, she remembered Raymond's words."You belong to me."The sentence refused to leave her head. She didn't know whether to be angry, confused, or disappointed. Maybe she was all three. She got out of bed before the sun rose. Andrea and Camellia were still asleep, so she quietly changed into her uniform, grabbed her bag, and slipped out of the room without making a sound. She wanted peace.Just one peaceful morning. The academy grounds were unusually quiet at that hour. Only a handful of students were already outside, training before classes began. Vera chose the longest route toward the cafeteria. If Raymond was looking for her again, she wasn't going to make it easy. The last few days had taught her one thing. The farther she stayed from him, the clearer her mind became.Or at least she tried to convince herself that was true. She picked up a tray of food and sat near one of the windows
The next few days passed quietly, at least on the surface.Vera made sure of that. Every morning, she left her room earlier than usual. She took longer routes to class, avoided the places Raymond normally stayed, and even changed where she ate during lunch. If she saw him from a distance, she immediately turned around before he could notice her. If one of his friends appeared first, she quietly disappeared before any of them could stop her.She wasn't going to give him another opportunity. She already made that mistake too many times. The more she thought about everything that had happened between them, the more confused she became. One moment he would tell her she wasn't worthy enough for him. The next moment he would act jealous whenever Henry got close to her. Then he would suddenly tell her that she belonged to him.If he truly believed all those things he said about her, then why couldn't he simply leave her alone? She couldn't understand him anymore.Or maybe...She never unders
Vera finally pushed him away with all the strength she could gather. She stumbled back a few steps, breathing heavily as she wiped her lips with the back of her hand. Her cheeks were burning, but this time it wasn't because she was embarrassed. She was angry."What is wrong with you?" she demanded. "Why do you keep doing this to me?"Raymond didn't answer immediately. He only kept looking at her as if he was trying to understand something himself."I don't want you around Henry," he repeated. "You are supposed to be mine and not his. I don't want you walking with him or telling him anything. In fact, don't even talk to him anymore."Vera laughed bitterly."You really are unbelievable."She took another step backward, creating more distance between them."You don't get to decide who I talk to.""I do.""No, you don't.""I said you do not belong around him."She folded her arms and stared at him."And who exactly do I belong to then?"Raymond didn't hesitate."Me."The answer made her h
Raymond looked offended that Vera was talking to him that way. She was being too respectful, and this was something that he didn't like. But she didn't care about it. She moved back from him, holding her respectful position."Are you so hateful of me now that you don't even want to see me anymore? What exactly did I do wrong for you to hate me like this? I'm very sure I haven't done anything to hurt you the past few days."Vera wanted to say something, but she decided to stop herself. She didn't want to make him mad anymore. So, she wouldn't bother telling him he did anything anyway because it wasn't worth it. But she knew he wasn't going to give up just like that. She shook her head and moved back more."Please, I'm begging you, leave me alone. I really don't want to get into trouble today. I'm just trying to get to class."Raymond looked at her without saying anything, and then he got angry. He grabbed her, angrily refusing to let her go."The entire school knows that you're mine. T
