CHAPTER THIRTEEN

KIERAN POV

"Hello," I said, immediately placing the phone close to my ear.

"It's about the meeting scheduled for 10:00 today," the caller said.

Last night, just as I left the palace, a text message got into my phone. I read through it and it was an information that a meeting is scheduled by 10:00 am.

I know I wasn't having any meeting with anybody and so, I didn't bothered texting a reply.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Aren't you the CEO of Kieran's construction company?" he asked.

"I am, but...the company has been shut down for some years now," I told him.

"That's why I'm calling you, so we can find a way forward," he said.

"At least can I know who you are?" I demanded.

"You'll know when you meet me.." he said.

"Text me your location; it's a few minutes to ten already," I instructed.

"Alright, I'll do that right away," he said and ended the call.

I opened my car door and sat down in the driver's seat when a message came into my phone. It was the location. My phone rang again.

"Hello," I said.

"Have you seen the message?" he demanded.

"Yeah, I've seen it. Make sure to come to the hotel I texted you," he said.

"Don't worry, I'll be there in a while," I told him.

"Alright, looking forward to seeing you," he said, and then I hung up.

I put the key in the ignition, and the car roared to life.

Just as I'm about driving away, I recalled something. As Victor came closer to me, I noticed a cut on the side of his neck. That was actually why I turned to Luna to see if she had seen it, but she didn't even noticed anything, I know she didn't.

I recalled that during the fight, I had pierced him on the side of his neck.

Holy shit!

Could it be that he was the one who had attacked Luna?!

At that moment, I came out of the car and rushed into the palace, straight to the infirmary, where I saw Victor coming out of the door. A disparaging smile was on his lips, and from that, I could tell something was wrong.

I opened the door and said, "Luna, I want to tell you something."

"I don't want to talk about anything," she told me.

"It's really important and you have to listen to me," I said.

"Kieran, I don't want to talk to you," she replied.

She don't want to talk about anything is different from not wanting to talk to me. What's her reasons?

"You don't want to talk to me? What happened?" I asked, very surprised. Why was she sounding like this? It hadn't been twenty minutes since I left this place, and now she was sounding different. What had Victor told her?

"Just get out of here," she told me, not looking at me.

"Luna, what's the problem?" I insisted.

"I hate betrayers, and I can't stand the sight of one!" she screamed.

"This is unbelievable!" I exclaimed.

She had just mentioned that she hated betrayers. What was she insinuating, and who was she referring to as a betrayal? Me? I had only followed her because I wanted to know where she was going, nothing more. Was she thinking I was the one who had hurt her?

"Am I the betrayal now?" I asked her, enraged. I hated the fact that she was trying to accuse me of something I didn't know about.

"You're the betrayal here!" she told me.

"Is that what Victor told you?" I asked.

"Leave Victor out of this; he's a better man than you," she said.

"You're misunderstanding the whole thing, which is why I want to explain things to you," I told her.

"I don't want your explanation; the time I needed it, you lied. Just go away!" she screamed.

"I lied to you? How?" I asked, my curious eyes gazing at her.

"You lied to me about everything, and I can't believe that you of all people would do something this cruel to me," she said coldly.

"Listen to me, I don't know what this is, but whatever he told you, he's lying," I told her.

I knew that asshole was trying to brainwash Luna, accusing me falsely so she'd see me as a bad person. It had happened before; I was accused, banished for seven years, and lost almost everything. I wouldn't let it happen again.

"Leave Victor out of this," she told me.

"But he's the one lying about me," I said.

"It's not even about him; tell me, what were you doing in the woods with me?" she asked.

"Thank goodness you've said it now; so you're trying to accuse me of attacking you? Did I do anything wrong by helping you?" I asked her.

"Kieran stop pretending," she told me.

"Who's pretending here?" I asked her.

"Why are you saying all this bullshits?!"

"Cut that shit!" she said.

"You are the only one who saw me leaving the palace even Liam wasn't aware that I was leaving. You followed me into the woods and no one else." She told me. I stared at her in amazement. Just minutes ago, she had been thanking me for saving her, and suddenly now she was accusing me of being the one who attacked her. "Don't think I'm a fool; I'm not," she told me.

"Then let me tell you who's responsible," I told her.

"You want to tell me another lie?" she asked.

"It's the truth," I said.

"Get out of this place right now!" she screamed at the top of her voice.

"Luna, listen..."

"Get out!" she screamed again, forcing me to leave.

CHAPTER NINETEEN LUNA'S POVAfter the incident with Victor, the next day, I left the palace and headed back to my birth Pack, where I'm to resume my duty of taking care of the Prime cub. The drive back to my birth Pack was a long one, but after what looked like eternity, I arrived there. After doing some cleaning, I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door, and I was surprised to see Dylan standing in front of me. How did he manage to know that I was no longer in Stone Prime? "Hi, come in," I said, slightly surprised. "You came back," he said while walking inside the house. "You know I'm the caretaker of the Prime cub; I'm supposed to come back here," I reminded him."Yeah, I know," he shrugged his shoulders and sat down on the couch. "What do you care for: a glass of wine, water, or something else?" I offered. "I'm okay, I just need to have a brief conversation with you," he told me. My hands were wet from the cleaning, so I said, "I'll be back in a minute." I walked int

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN VICTOR'S POV"Victor, let go of me. What's the meaning of this?" She asked me, feeling irritated. "Come on..." I tried speaking, but she cut me off. "Victor, get your damn hand off me!" She commanded, and then I decided to let go of her hands. "What the fuck was wrong with you?" I heard Xander, my wolf, scream inside my head. Goddamnit! Why couldn't I control myself? I shouldn't be the one to spoil things for myself. What should I do now? I know what she'll be thinking now, and if I eventually allow her to walk down that door, she might decide not to go on with the union. I shouldn't let that happen. Just as she pulled the handle of the door, I pushed it back, and it closed. I stood in front of the door when she asked, "Victor, what has come over you?" She asked me, very much provoked, though she's trying hard not to raise her voice. "I'm sorry, Luna. I don't know what came over me," I told her calmly. "You should be sorry for yourself!" She said coldly. "I

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN AUTHOR'S POV "You shouldn't bother about me, you're the only medicine I need to get better," he told her.His face is close to Luna and he he's still holding her tightly on her waist as though she was going to run away if he let go of her."Please," he told her and she could feel his breath on her face. But she isn't ready for this."Let's do this some other day," she told him."I want it now, let's have sex together, " he said in a commanding tone." Was this what he really wanted?" Luna mused. She's not going to have sex with him until their wedding night and if he isn't okay with it, he should forget about it."Not now, Victor, not now!" She told him."Not now? Then when?" He asked her slightly provoked."You have to wait until our wedding night." She told him."Our wedding night?" He said with a disparaging smile on his lips. "Why our wedding night? Luna, stop acting like a virgin!" He told her.She couldn't believe her ears. What has come over him?Embarrasse

CHAPTER SIXTEEN LUNA POVCould he possibly be hiding something from me? He was attacked last night, and I was also attacked; there's more to this than meets the eye. Kieran told me he had followed me to the woods only to meet those guys trying to kill me. Though before I fully lost consciousness, I felt the presence of another werewolf fighting the others; I was just too weak, and at that instant, I became unconscious. I'm not trying to justify Kieran or judge him either; if Victor is telling me he got attacked last night, then it only means he was the one behind the attack."I'm still trying to find out why I got attacked the same day you did. I guess the person who did this to you also tried to hurt me." He told me walking to where I am and sitting down beside me on the couch. "Victor I don't really know who to believe, I don't know if I should believe you or Kieran I don't know who's fucking lying to me now.." I told him. I feel this entire family is making a fool out of me. "C

CHAPTER FIFTEEN VICTOR POVI was able to successfully convince Luna that Kieran was responsible for her attack, and that's what made me happy. I had wanted to leave the palace to meet with Ferdinand's mother, at least to extend my condolences, but I changed my mind. I wanted to be here to monitor things myself so that Kieran wouldn't come in and spoil everything. I knew Luna was mad at him and wasn't ready to talk to him, but things can change in a minute, and I'd have everything backfiring on me. I didn't want to make a silly mistake that I'd regret, so I'd stay right here in the palace until the day of the wedding. My initial plan was to convince her to accept that the wedding holds tomorrow but she refused it and I don't know why she's afraid of allowing the wedding to hold.I know Kieran must have told her something and that's the reason why she's objecting. That bastard is controlling and manipulative. But one thing is sure, I'll have to personally teach him a lesson. I'll make

CHAPTER FOURTEEN LUNA POV It's like I've been stabbed in the back. Kieran, of all people, is the one who tried to kill me. This is painful, and I now believe that it's not the stab in the back that kills, but when you turn around to see who's holding the knife. I know something was definitely wrong as at when I regained consciousness and discovered that Kieran was the one who'd saved me. Was that his plan? To make me feel like he truly cares for me? Or maybe he did all that so I'd fall for him. But even now, Kieran hasn't told me he has feelings for me. What does he really want from me? I know his plan isn't good because if he truly loves me, he wouldn't have thought of hurting me as a way to make me fall for him. Something's definitely wrong here.I didn't want any more explanations from him, as he's obviously going to tell me another lie. I screamed at him, and he walked out of the room. I don't want to ever see his face again. He's nothing but a betrayer. Now I know he got what h
