CHAPTER 9

We heard a sudden loud music from the neighborhood as if there was a party going on. It’s broad daylight, why do people do parties at this time of the day?!

I turned to the man. “I’ll be saying sorry in advance. There’s always a party going on with one of your future neighbors. But, you don’t have to worry much since your soon-to-be house is sound proof,” he assured us.

I smiled, indicating that it’s fine with me. “We will be heading on our way out now,” I bid my goodbye to the man while Sebastian went into his car without saying anything.

“Can’t wait to see you two move over here,” the man said, smiling.

“We’ll see,” I replied and followed Sebastian to the car. He then maneuvered the car without saying anything.

We were both silent throughout our journey. I didn’t bother asking him where we are heading ‘cause he’s obviously not in the mood.
