Diego’s POV I had a restless sleep, I was literally up before the sun rose I had to carefully and quietly untangle myself from Storm who was sleeping like a baby. I went to my office and sat down running my fingers through my hair. All of this was just so unbelievably crazy and I hoped we could come to a solution that had a good outcome. Diego’s POV Another month had gone by. Storm was absolutely miserable. The triplets only had about a month left to go but doctor Greg said it could be any day now really. They had grown rather rapidly he thinks it was their pure blood that ran through their bodies. We were currently getting ready for the baby shower her parents wanted to throw. Storms POVWe were finally being discharged from the hospital. I was pushed out in a wheel chair carrying one of the boys in a car seat while Diego carried the other two. I could not wait to get home with them. I was so relieved. Diego put the boys in the back of a brand new SVU a gift from the pack to welcome the boys. The bases already buckled in. Then he came around and helped me up even though I didn’t need it and buckled me into the front as well. “Alright you guys take care I’ll see you in 6 weeks for a check up on you and the boys.” “Alright thank you Greg.” I replied. Diego’s POVI woke the next day to Jared storming into my office. “Alpha I’ve been trying to reach you! There’s been a border breach! They got through our defenses and they’re headed here if they haven’t gotten here yet.”I shot up and ran down the hall. The boys weren’t in their rooms. I ran to the back to our room. Storm was still asleep but I she stirred jolting up feeling my fear through the bond. I didn’t even have to say anything so looked at me and howled. “Where are my boys!? Diego where are my boys!?”“Jared send every warrior we have to the border. No one is leaving this territory. Contact the surrounding territories alert them of the situation give them the boys description. Jared’s POV I laid on the alphas sofa my arm over my face. I could hear Storm…my luna weeping until she could weep no more. Diego asked me to take care of her and the boys and I would do just that. But until the boys were old enough I had to take over as acting alpha…I would never be the alpha Diego was but I would do what it took to make sure this pack ran smoothly. I would make sure we would get him back. One way or another. No matter how long it took. ‘Get out of your head.’ My wolf Zeus told me. ‘We need to make sure our Luna is fed. She has damn near lost her mate. She will need us to lean on.’I nodded and sat up going to the kitchen making something small. She would need to eat and I know she didn’t have the energy but she would need to pump as well so I could feed the boys when they woke. I threw something together and walked back to the room. Her breaths were slow and quiet, she had fallen asleep. I sat the tray I was holding down on a table and softly touched her shoulder.

Storms POVWe had gathered everyone in the mess hall of the pack house. They’re chatter was excruciating as it pounded in my head. I closed my eyes and touched my temples. I felt Jared move beside me before I finally called out with my Luna voice. “All of you hush!” The room quickly fell silent you could hear a pen drop. I opened my eyes and took a deep breath. “Listen I know there’s a lot of confusion going on let me explain…”Then I went on about the mysterious outsiders that had wanted Diego and I’s powers for a reason unknown. The false deal that was struck, Diego’s sacrifice. They stood in shock looking at me heads bowed joining our mourning.“What will happen now?” One of the older members asked. “Jared will resume the position of Alpha by my side until the triplets are old enough to run the pack. Storms POV I was tossing and turning. Dreams running through my head. Images ran past my eyes in a blur. It was as if I was spinning around and around but then my mind stopped and settled. It started out completely black but then a tiny flame popped up in the distance. I walked towards it. The closer I got the bigger and hotter the flame burned and the more I could see. The fire it climbed up a building. People that looked like shadows were running frantically trying to get away but the fire it engulfed them. Finally I could hear, people were screaming and crying. Trying to escape in every direction. I followed the lines of fire they all went back to one spot. Someone was standing there head to the sky and arms to their sides. The fire it flowed out of their body. I gasped. “Diego?”The figure whipped its head around and looked at me. It was Diego my poor Diego. Jared’s POVI had put out SOS invites to all the nearby packs hoping they would respond with urgency. I asked them to meet in two days time we would be set up in the clearing. I kept raking my hands through my hair slamming my hands on the table. I could feel the hurt and anguish pouring in from Storm. She wasn’t trying to hide it. A part of me was grateful. We had a strong bond but she was always holding a part of herself back. One I would never blame her for though. I was thinking of her and the boys. I just wanted them to be safe. So many plans and arrangements would have to be made. If they found out we had left our pack unprotected would they come back for the boys? I certainly needed help guarding everything I loved here and what was right in front of me. I couldn’t let anything happen to Storm, I would stay by her side. She was going to have to do the hardest thing ever, I most certainly don’t think I would have been able to do it. Hours went by I just sat in the office sorting
