I listened for her heart rate change, and sure enough the fear was there. It made me giddy. I didn’t need to feed, I wasn’t feeling like I needed to, but I wanted to. It was a different feeling, not the itchy, scratchy teeth and throat… But more of a just… Want to feed.

I can’t explain it. If I didn’t feed, nothing would happen. But I could if I wanted to. This new Vampire stuff was strange and would take some getting used to, that was for sure.

Once we were done eating we headed out to the foyer. I needed to mind link my brother real quick to let him know we were coming. “Ramses?” I said through the link. “Rowen, what is it? Are you ok?” He asked a little frantically.

Katrina must have filled him in on The Others, and since I'm the one with the amulet, then I'm one in the danger. “Oh, yea, everything is fine. I need to come visit you and Katrina. I am in a much better state of mind… And I owe you both an apology. A sincere one.” I said.
