Diana POV

The cathedral doors flicked open, throwing a blinding ray of sunlight down the long aisle.

High-ranking wolves from both packs turned to look at me, their eyes were on me as I took my first step forward. To them, I was just Diana, the daughter of the mistress, draped in white silk, marching dutifully toward her fate.

At the end of the altar stood Alpha Zack, looking devastatingly handsome in his dark ceremonial regalia. He crossed his arm over his chest, wearing a smug, triumphal smirk.

Standing just behind him in the front row was Melissa, looking like a proud, benevolent saint. Her eyes shone with fake tears of happiness for her poor helpless step-sister.

My gaze shifted to Alpha Leen Lancaster. He was alive. He wasn't the broken, erratic, mentally unstable shell of a man I remembered from my past life. He sat tall, his powerful Alpha aura radiated through the cathedral. His eyes carried a deep, hidden sorrow as he watched me approach the altar.

“This time, I will protect you.” I thought as I stepped down the aisle with grace.

With every step, the image of my lifeless baby on a freezing dungeon floor burned behind my eyes. The agonizing memory of my wolf being sealed with silverbane echoed in my soul.

I owed no loyalty to anyone! Not even my mother who abandoned me when I needed her the most.

As I reached the center of the altar, Zack extended a gloved hand toward me, his smirk widened. He expected me to take his hand and submit to a lifetime of rejection and misery. Instead, I stopped in my tracks.

A great silence fell over the cathedral as Zack’s hand froze in mid-air. His brow furrowed slightly fracturing his perfect, arrogant facade.

"Diana?" he whispered, his voice dripping with a warning undertone. "What are you doing? Step forward."

I looked down at the cascading bouquet of fresh white roses in my hands, the very flowers meant to celebrate a union built on my impending murder. A cold, lethal smile spread over my face. I opened my hands, like I wanted to take his hand. The bouquet tumbled down, hitting the marble floor with a thud.

The crowd gasped as petals scattered across the aisle. Melissa’s eyes widened in horror. Evelyn's face turned pale. Even Alpha Leen leaned forward, his sharp eyes narrowing as he gripped the armrests of his chair.

"Diana! Pick up the bouquet and take my hand. Do not embarrass me in front of my pack,” Zack gritted, his Alpha aura flaring in a desperate attempt to command me, and force me to my knees. But I withstood him. He did know I had gone through hell and death, and his aura was the least thing that could pin me down now.

I chuckled and turned my back completely against him. My heavy, silk wedding train swirled around my ankles as I faced the congregation. I took the first step, and another, and another as I walked back down the aisle, completely ignoring the frantic, rising whispers in the hall.

My eyes were locked onto a single, imposing figure sitting in the very back row, draped heavily in dark furs and black leather, Alpha Aldric Raven. He is a ruthless, and formidable ruler of the Raven Pack. Not only that, he is Zack’s most despised rival. What a sweet denial it would be, to reject Alpha Zack and fly into the arms of his rival.

In my past life, I had stubbornly turned Alpha Aldric away. Until the very end, I was completely blind to the fact that he was the only one who would weep for me in the dark.

Aldric sat perfectly still, his powerful frame radiating a dangerous aura. As I approached, his striking eyes tracked my movement, burning with intense fire.

He didn't look shocked like the others; he looked as though he had been waiting a lifetime for this exact moment.

I stopped right in front of him, the white silk of my gown brushed against his boots. "Alpha Aldric," I said aloud, my voice echoing through the silence of the cathedral.

"I need a true partner, one who knows how to keep his enemies at bay. Are you interested in a merger?"

A deafening gasp rippled through the hall. Zack’s voice roared with fury. "Diana! What do you think you are doing? Guards, seize her! She has lost her mind!"

Aldric swirled up from his seat, towering over me. His massive frame completely shieled me from Zack's sight. His eyes found mine, and with a wicked smirk spread across his lips, he responded, "A merger? If Lady Diana seeks an alliance, the Raven Pack accepts.” His hoarse voice sent sparks shooting straight down my spine.

He extended his arm. I smiled and without hesitation, I took his hand in an handshake.

Over his shoulder, I looked back at the altar, Zack’s face had turned shades of purple, his claws extending as his guards hesitated to carry out his orders. They terrified to step up against Aldric.

Melissa looked as though she was about to faint. Evelyn’s hands tightened on her gown, her eyes darted toward Alpha Leen, who had stobod up from his seat, staring at me with profound shock.

Diana's POV “My Lady!” Lily's voice broke into my head and I rose up abruptly from my sleep. I stretched out on the bed yarning.“Alpha Leen summons you,” she said earnestly.“Puff! Can't I even enjoy a bit of luxury? After yesterday’s ordeal… I should sleep for as long as I want…” I pouted and fell back on the bed.Lily let out a short humorous laugh, and scurried to the windows. She lifted the blinds letting rays of sunlight filter in.“My lady, it's almost midday!” “Midday!?” I yelled and I jumped to my feet, staring wide.A sweet chuckle tumbled down my lips as I tried to adjust my eyes to the blinding light filtering into the room. Like a bird, I scurried into the birthroom to prepare for the day.*******“You kept us waiting,” Alpha Leen chewed me out as I walked into the Alpha’s office. My mother was sitting on her seat on the right, while Melissa was dressed like a princess, sitting on her seat on the left, and guess what? She couldn't take her eyes off me.I was also dolled

  • The Reborn Heiress   Sisters, Always

Diana's POV Despite the rage written all over Melissa, her eyes were puffy and slightly red, as though she had spent the last hour crying. Anyone looking at her would think she was the victim. She stopped a few steps away from me, staring curiously at me from head to toe. “Did I interrupt something?” She asked with her eyes searching the room curiously.“What?”“I mean… you're breathing hard and sweating… profusely…”“So?”“Anyone would have thought… nevermind…” she tapped her head as a bemused smile fell off her lips.“Are you alright? You are drenched in sweat and you look shakened” She asked, sounding like a concerned big sister.“I… I'm…” I acted flustered, faking it and trying to pull through the aftermath of my dream. “What a poor soul… I knew it. I knew you couldn't pull through such an ordeal and remain sane,” she closed the distance between us in a fierce single stride and gathered me in her arms. I exhaled sharply and my body stiffened at the contact, but she was engrossed

  • The Reborn Heiress   Testing the Waters

Diana's POVThe familiar corridor of the west wing stretched before me, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun. I was just returning to my chamber. Alpha Aldric and his men were long gone but, I was still unable to keep Alpha Aldric out of my mind.I was still unsure about him. All I remembered were from my past life… his presence in the dungeon, his hurried steps towards my dying body, the gentleness with which he gathered me in his arms… and the warmth that followed. Those were all memories from my past life. But with another chance to leave, the table as turned and I was wary of everyone, even Alpha Aldric. As I walked towards my chambers, every servant I passed stared at me with disdain. Yes, I was a nobody, I was just the daughter of their Alpha’s Luna. I was an ungrateful bitch who squashed the opportunity they all thought I got on a platter of gold, and almost brought war on the pack.Damn everyone! I let a haughty look sprade across my face and set my shoulders straight. T

  • The Reborn Heiress   Behind Closed Doors

Zack's PovThe moment I crossed the Bloodmoon border, I knew the entire pack had already heard. My horse had barely passed through the gates when the whispers began. Everyone knew that Alpha Zack of Bloodmoon had gone to Silver Crest expecting to leave with a bride, but was rejected at the altar. The humiliating scene replayed itself inside my mind. Diana standing in a ridiculous white gown staring at me with arrogant eyes. That was what irritated me most, she should have trembled beneath my Alpha aura. She should have lowered her eyes, and apologized. She was supposed to accept whatever scraps of dignity I offered and thanked me for them. But she looked at me as though I were nothing, then she walked away. She walked straight into Aldric Raven's arms!My jaw tightened. Aldric! Of all the Alphas! She chose him over me.My fingers tightened around the reins, I pulled them so hard that my horse's head jerked upward. The guards immediately stepped aside. No one dared meet my eyes. I didn'

  • The Reborn Heiress   The Raven Alpha

Diana's POVThe doors closed behind us, sealing away the voices echoing within. I was no longer Zack's bride, I was free. The realization should have filled me with relief, yet my heart remained restless. I had changed fate, but I had also thrown myself into unknown waters.Beside me, Alpha Aldric Raven walked in complete silence, but his presence was impossible to ignore. Every guard, servant, and noble we passed instinctively stepped aside. Not because he demanded it, but because he simply carried that much authority."You've helped me twice today." I finally broke the silence. Alpha Aldric's grey eyes shifted toward me, and he responded, "Twice?""Yes twice. You stood against Bloodmoon inside the cathedral, and before that… You accepted the proposal of a complete stranger."One corner of his lips lifted. "I don't usually accept proposals from strangers.""Then I suppose I should feel honored,” I chuckled."You should." His answer came so naturally that I couldn't help glancing at h

  • The Reborn Heiress   A New Proposal

Diana's POV Zack’s face twisted from a mask of fury into a cold calm. He stepped away from the altar, his heavy boots echoing against the floor."Silver Crest has insulted Bloodmoon twice," Zack declared, his gaze sweeping over the council of Silver Crest elders who were already sweating through their robes. "First, Princess Melissa rejects the union after the engagement was publicly announced. Then, her substitute sister rejects me at the very altar, crawling into the arms of a barbarian." Zack's Alpha aura flared, "Do you think Bloodmoon exists for your daughters to toy with?" he roared. The nobles went silent. Warriors shifted their weight, their hands resting on the hilts of their blades. Zack wasn't just throwing tantrums, he was establishing a legal foundation for war."Silver Crest has three choices," he sneered, his chest heaving as he stared directly at Alpha Leen, "One, honor the marriage immediately. Two, pay an enormous fine that will bleed your treasuries dry for a cent
