My hands were sweaty as Killian held my hand to escort me down the stairs. It was neverending and the light is too blinding for me to check their reaction. I tried to mask off my nervousness so that they won't have any opinion over me, but the murmurs doesn't stop there. May mangilan-ngilan pa ring nagtatanong kung bakit nakasuot ako ng maskara. Even the piano and violin instrumental playing in the background can't contain their whispers.

I sighed inwardly. Wala na naman akong magagawa. All I just have to do is stop myself from making any mistakes para wala na silang mapuna pa. I know doing this is risking not just my reputation, but also Killian's family.
