At lunch everyone kept staring at Cass and I could tell it was making her uncomfortable. We ate outside the cafeteria to reduce the number of eyes on her, but I could still hear the chatter from inside. Everyone trying to ask me 1000 questions through the mind-link. I tried my best to tune them all out, but it was hard when 200 people are trying to talk to you all at once.
“Does she put out?” I hear a voice flitting through my head.
“I heard she lives with you, is that true?” another asks.
“Vanessa told me she’s your pet, but you have to pretend she’s your mate,” comes another.
“Have you seen her naked?” I feel the rage boiling up inside of me as more and more questions invade my brain.
“What’s it like f**king a human?”
I slammed my fists down on the picnic table, my lunch bouncing at the impact. The thoughts overwhelming me. I stand up and storm inside as Lani and Cassidy watch. I push the doors open and hear them slam against the wal
Koray POVI push Jordan deep behind the veil. I hated doing it, but it was for Cassidy’s best. I was the only one who can truly protect her. I focus back on Lani and Cassidy. They were scared. Didn’t Cassidy know she didn’t have to be scared of me. I take a step toward my mate and it feels weird. I’ve never had so much control over Jordan’s body before. It was odd being in a human body completely. My natural urges screaming for me to shift, but I won’t. Not unless I need to.Walking over to Cassidy, Lani is frozen beside her. I could feel how scared she was, even her wolf didn’t dare to come forward, to go against me. They knew it was a loosing battle. I grab Cassidy’s arm and she tries to fight back.“No! Leave me alone.” She screams at me, scratching at my arm and drawing blood. I watch as the scratches quickly heal. Another perk of being a werewolf.“Cut it out, we are g
Cassidy POVI gave up kicking and screaming in the boot after an hour. It was clear nobody was going to let me out anytime soon. I laid here trapped and closed my eyes. Koray has basically just kidnapped me, and we definitely weren’t going back home. Surely, he would let me out when we arrived, wherever that was. The drive went on for hours and I ended up falling asleep.I woke up and we had stopped, I heard growls coming from outside and Koray was talking with another man. I hear them approach the back of the car and unlock the boot. I was going to escape one way or another. The door to the boot lifts slightly and I slide my feet under me ready to jump out. Koray lifts the boot open completely and I leap at him, tackling him to the ground. He falls back catching me and I fight him to get off before I manage to get to my feet, and I make a break for it spotting the forest tree line in front of me.“Get her!” a man’s voice
Koray growls behind me as he spots Reign at the top of the staircase. He shoves me behind him and I roll my eyes.“Reign,” he says through his growl. She looks at him, her blue eyes judging him as he hides me. If looks could kill, Koray would be dead right now.“My dear, please will you join us downstairs?” Quintin asks. The way he speaks to her was so warm and lovely.Reign turns to him and smiles. Nodding her head once and I notice Quintin just beaming up at her. He was clearly in love with her and it was refreshing to see. Reign gracefully makes her way down the staircase meeting us at the bottom, Quintin grabs her hand before kissing the back of it. She smiles at him as she lifts her hand to his cheek. I shift my weight on my feet feeling awkward watching them so in love.“We have to go,” Koray says and they look at him stepping apart from each other slightly embarrassed.“I don’t want to g
We need to get out of here. He can’t make us shift. I look around the cage for anything that can break the lock. I spot a sharp rock just outside the back of the cage and I crawl over and reach my hand through the bars but it’s just out of reach.“What are you doing?” Drew asks me.“I need to get that rock. There’s no way in hell I’m staying here another night.”“Here take this!” Seb throws a stick at the cage and it makes a noise as it hits the bars. We all go silent and look at the stairwell, praying the man didn’t hear. After a minute I rush over and grab the stick before crawling back and attempting to move the rock closer with the stick. The stick is just long enough to nudge it towards me a tiny bit. I reach out my arm again trying to grab it. My face squished against the cold metal bars.“Just a little further,” I tell myself out loud. I feel the rock below my fing
Koray POVI wake to my head throbbing. The last thing I remember was Quintin showing me where I was going to sleep and then I got hit in the back of the head with something knocking me down before a needle was shoved into my arm. I look around the room I’m in. This isn’t the room he showed me. P**ck must have drugged and moved me to this dusty place. The room had a dirt floor and no windows. I try to stand and realise there’s a chain around my ankle. I follow the chain and see it’s attached to the wall behind me, bolted in.“What the f**k is going on?” I hear Jordan’s voice flitting into my head. My time knocked out meant he could come back from the depths of our mind I locked him in.“We seem to be locked inside a dungeon.”“I can see that, where are we?” he snaps.“In a f**king dungeon, do you not listen?”“We don’t have a dung
Arriving back at the pack house I notice it’s quiet. Shifting back, I walk up the back stairs and into the house. There isn’t anyone around. I head upstairs to check the bedrooms. Reign and Quintin’s room was empty and so was Koray’s’. Sniffing the room, it didn’t even smell like he had been in here at all. I head into my room and grab some clothes Reign laid out for me on the bed. I pull on the bright yellow tank top and cute jean shorts before heading back into the hall.I decide to check the office but the door was locked. I knock and put my ear to the door but I can’t hear any movement inside. I shrug before heading back downstairs.“Hello, is anyone here?” I call out but no reply.Looking around when I hit reach the bottom I figure they must have gone for a run themselves.“Food!” Nina whines in my head and I head toward the kitchen. Walk past the living wall in the dining room I stop.
Cassidy POVI watch as Nina fights the wolf, I can feel my heart racing knowing I can’t help. Every blow feels painful and I’m surprised she knows how to fight. I was never allowed at any of the training days in the pack because it was for wolves only and yet somehow Nina knew how to fight him off. Maybe it was instinct but I felt proud at every hit she landed. I spot Koray watching from the side and suddenly Nina is on her back pinned underneath the other wolf.“USE YOUR LEGS!” I scream at Nina and she lifts them up underneath him and I can fell her use the full force of her body weight to kick him off.The wolf collides with a tree and she scrambles to her feet making a run for the safe road only to stop when we hear Koray attack the wolf.“We need to go before anymore come; we can’t fight them all off!” I tell her, remembering all the wolves I saw in front of the pack house when we first arrive
Jordan POVIt was another hour before we crossed back onto our pack land. I had already mind-linked dad to let him know we were coming and he was mad as hell at Koray for taking off with Cassidy. I knew I was in the shit the second we got home so I took my time. I hated when he was mad. His Alpha Aura was so strong and painful, he hated using it but boy was it effective.Cassidy held my hand as we walked back through the woods behind home. I could sense she was nervous about returning home but I wasn’t sure why. We were safe here; nobody was going to hurt her here. I freeze when I sense another wolf is close, it isn’t one of the patrollers we have around the house. Cassidy looks around frightened at my reaction before she senses the wolf herself and hides behind me.A light brown wolf comes creeps it’s way out of the bushes in front of me and into the little cleared patch we were standing in. I growled and Koray edges to
