Chapter Fourteen
Jordan POV
I wake to the sun shining through my bedroom window into my eyes. I groan as I run my hands over my face. A foot kicks me and I roll over to see Cass tossing and turning having a nightmare. Sitting up, I shake her shoulders trying to wake her up. She sits up startled and stares at me. Her once chocolate eyes now shone a bright gold back at me before turning back as she blinks.
“Are you okay?” I ask her, unable to avert my gaze from her eyes.
“I feel fine? A little tired but fine. Why did you wake me up?” she asks, yawning as she stretched her arms out beside her.
“You were tossing around having a nightmare.” I reply. She shakes her head before getting out of bed.
“No not a nightmare… I don’t think anyway. It felt like a memory, but none of it seems familiar.” She says softly, walking to the bathroom and closing the door behind her. I watch the door, waiting for

Cassidy POVI gave up kicking and screaming in the boot after an hour. It was clear nobody was going to let me out anytime soon. I laid here trapped and closed my eyes. Koray has basically just kidnapped me, and we definitely weren’t going back home. Surely, he would let me out when we arrived, wherever that was. The drive went on for hours and I ended up falling asleep.I woke up and we had stopped, I heard growls coming from outside and Koray was talking with another man. I hear them approach the back of the car and unlock the boot. I was going to escape one way or another. The door to the boot lifts slightly and I slide my feet under me ready to jump out. We need to get out of here. He can’t make us shift. I look around the cage for anything that can break the lock. I spot a sharp rock just outside the back of the cage and I crawl over and reach my hand through the bars but it’s just out of reach.“What are you doing?” Drew asks me.“I need to get that rock. There’s no way in hell I’m staying here another night.”“Here take this!” Seb throws a stick at the cage and it makes a noise as it hits the bars. The last thing I remember was Quintin showing me where I was going to sleep and then I got hit in the back of the head with something knocking me down before a needle was shoved into my arm. Arriving back at the pack house I notice it’s quiet. Shifting back, I walk up the back stairs and into the house. There isn’t anyone around. I head upstairs to check the bedrooms. Reign and Quintin’s room was empty and so was Koray’s’. Sniffing the room, it didn’t even smell like he had been in here at all. I head into my room and grab some clothes Reign laid out for me on the bed. I pull on the bright yellow tank top and cute jean shorts before heading back into the hall.I decide to check the office but the door was locked. I knock and put my ear to the door but I can’t hear any movement inside. I shrug before heading back downstairs.“Hello, is anyone here?” I call out but no reply.Looking around when I hit reach the bottom I figure they must have gone for a run themselves.“Food!” Nina whines in my head and I head toward the kitchen. Walk past the living wall in the dining room I stop.

Cassidy POVI watch as Nina fights the wolf, I can feel my heart racing knowing I can’t help. Every blow feels painful and I’m surprised she knows how to fight. I was never allowed at any of the training days in the pack because it was for wolves only and yet somehow Nina knew how to fight him off. Maybe it was instinct but I felt proud at every hit she landed. I spot Koray watching from the side and suddenly Nina is on her back pinned underneath the other wolf.“USE YOUR LEGS!” I scream at Nina and she lifts them up underneath him and I can fell her use the full force of her body weight to kick him off.The wolf collides with a tree and she scrambles to her feet making a run for the safe road only to stop when we hear Koray attack the wolf.“We need to go before anymore come; we can’t fight them all off!” I tell her, remembering all the wolves I saw in front of the pack house when we first arrive
