The Full Moon

“Adriana, oh my goodness, I can't believe she still ignores me whenever I tell her not to do magic in the open. Sarah complained and also got frustrated at her niece named Adriana.

“En gras bru ted.” Adriana did a spell on her aunty and her hair changed to a red blonder hair.

“Adriana!!!!!” Her aunty got so angry and yelled at her.

“Yes, aunty.” She replied with a smile on her lips which drove away from the anger in Sarah.

“Please Adriana, I beg of you, stop exposing your identity outside, I do not want anyone to know about you being a hybrid, just maintain your wolf side to everyone even if you have not experienced your first shift and hide the ability of the elder powers you also possessed as a witch.”

“I need to take revenge and wrath hell on those who took everything from me and take the pack that belongs to my family, the moonstone.”

“That's more like it but I never sent you to just go there and kill yourself so for the last time stop doing magical spells.” Her aunty warned again.

“But it is so hard to do, is like telling a fish not to breathe in water.”

“Adriana, your case is different from that, you are she-wolf, who got lucky to have the witch bloodline and it's kind of rare, for now, I beg you, for the sake of your late parents, stop practicing magic or carrying out any spells.”

“Okay fine I heard you, so can I eat dinner now?”

“Yes you can but join me in the kitchen, I am starving as well.”

“No wonder, I have been hearing some rumbling sounds.”

“You silly child,” Sarah said trying to hit Adriana but she took off, it was fun to look at them playing like mother and daughter.

They finished serving the food on the dining table and Adriana asked a question.”Sarah, are you sure I will ever shift into a wolf, I know you do call me a powerful hybrid, you taught me everything, self-defense, powerful spells making me so strong when it comes to combat or defending anyone but still, I have not shifted.”

“Adriana, you do not need to worry about that okay, I have been opportune to read some books about werewolves since my sister your mother was mated to an alpha king, I thought it was a curse, it can never be possible then I learned is the moon goddess doings, the fates, and destinies, do you also know about some wolves been mated to a human? Now in your case, I have seen a she-wolf who never shifted on her 18th birthday, her pack referred to her as a cursed wolf until her twenty 3rd birthday where she experience her first shift, so my dear, the moon goddess knows what she is doing, at the right time and age, you are going to break all your bones on your first shift then we carry out the plan.”

“Wow, I guess I just need to be patient a little and I can not wait to tear up those traitors of the moonstone pack and paint the city with their blood.” She said in an authoritative tone.

“Hey young lady, do not use your Luna voice on me ever again.”

“But how? I only just expressed my mind to you.”

“You will not understand, now finish this meal so you can get set for your work shift tonight.”

“Sure, how I wish I could just be excused for tonight.”

“Lastly, happy birthday in advance my love.”

“Thank you, Sarah, I wish my parents were alive to watch me turn 20 in a week from now.” Sarah hugged her, rubbing her back saying ” It's okay, I am here for you.”

Adriana had to get prepared for her night shift at work, she works at a bar a bit close to where she stays with her aunty.

She is tall, curvy, and has black blonde hair with beautiful gray eyes, having the best set of white teeth and pink lips, she has a goddess face, irresistible to men but she is not ready to date, she has a spec.

Little did she know that once she shifts fully into a wolf, her wolf side will be awakened to search for her mate she can only end up loving forever.

“Hey Adriana, you came quite early for the shift tonight?” Jeremy her co-worker at work asked.

“Oh Jeremy, do not tell me, I am on a night shift with you?”

“I think you guess right, so you see, we are comfortable together, best friend.”

“Oh love, I know this is just one of your empty threats, you can never hurt a cute face like mine, you know that.”

“Whatever but your face is ugly and I am cuter than you.” Jeremy scoff.

Jeremy has been friends with Adriana for a very long time now. They are just friends without any emotions attached to it, knowing the fact Jeremy already has a girlfriend he loves wholeheartedly but still, he doesn’t joke with his best friend Adriana.

“Those set of peeps just ordered a bottle of whiskey, you can serve them to begin your shift.”

“Sure, I will.

“I could imagine that feeling, his son Xavier will be turning 25 next month and a massive birthday will be held for him again inviting other packs as usual still hoping he finds the mate.”

“If Xavier fails to find a mate then that means, the moonstone pack will be tagged as weak and if anything should happen to the present alpha, then the tradition will have to take place after so many decades, it is just a clear sign the moon goddess is not giving the pack her blessings,”

“No, I doubt that friend, I guess the moon goddess is with them, remember if an alpha has the moonstone, they are still powerful enough to be taken down easily.”

“Well that's their business, at least in my pack, the alpha son found his mate early and we are good to go even if an unexpected battle takes place.”

“I am sorry gentlemen for involving myself in your discussion but I could not just mind my business, will you pack be invited for the upcoming birthday?”

“Who are you and why do you ask?”

“My name is Adriana, a shapeshifter like you but I am an omega, I need a pack.”

“Well I know the beta of my pack will be here soon, you are free to join the pack, we are the nightwalkers and we are more powerful with numbers.”

“Great, so I am free to come to your woods?”

“Yes, but can you show us your wolf form?” She knows she is doomed already because she has never shifted, this is the same attitude her aunty keeps talking about.

“Adriana.” She felt so at ease when her aunt called.

“I am sorry, I need to meet her. If not I am dead, will shift when next we see cause I am definitely coming to your pack.”

She rushed to her aunty who dragged her outside the bar to the woods saying, ”Tell me you did not tell those nightwalkers that you are a hybrid?”

“No, just told them I am an omega and wants to join their pack, I could use their pack in disguise to carry out the mission we have been planning.”

“How?”

“The traitor's son's birthday is coming up and I heard he does not have a mate, I could bring them down since he will get weaker without a mate.”

“Adriana, you need to stop rushing yourself up with this, you have not shifted yet, how can you execute this plan?”

“But, arhh.” She groaned in pain falling.

“Are you alright?” Sarah asked lifting her when she pushed her raising her head, her eyes were glowing, having the color of blue.

“Oh my goddess, it's the full moon and she is experiencing her first shift, I need to take her deep into the woods. ” Sarah said.
