Chapter 21
"Jade." He placed a hand on my shoulder and I blush when I recognized the voice to be Bellamy's.
Maya and I stopped in our tracks–Maya tightened her grip on my hand and I bit my bottom lip. The kiss played in my head again and a faint blush crawled up my cheeks.
"I'm off to meet Jason." Maya winked at me and left me feeling tensed. I stared down at my feet and fidgeted with the Hem on my shirt.
My muscles became rigid when he tucked strand of hair behind my ear.
"Are you shy?" He placed his fingers on my chin and lifted it up for us to lock gazes.
"N-no." I stuttered. Okay, I needed to work on this stuttering of a thing.
"You look cute when you are shy." He smile mockingly at me, earning a playful nudge.
"I'm not." I giggled.
"Do you mind if I give you a ride home?" He wore a friendly expression and gestured for us to move.

The night was dark and only the blue light illuminated my room because sleeping without light was almost impossible to me. I tossed and turned on the bed, finding it very hard to sleep. The crickets chirped and my clock ticked.I reached a hand to my phone on my side table and jeez! It was fifty minutes after eleven. I was awake and it wasn't a movie or a midnight snack. My stomach grumbled at the thought of a snack. I kicked my blankets off and slid on my flip flops.I walked down the stairs, while yawning and rubbing my eyes. My feet took me to the kitchen. I pulled open the fridge and brought out a small gallon of milk and Oreos biscuit.Bless you Oreo! A thought hit me like a strong wave. Maybe I should text Bellamy, he might be awake.
