149. Brenda's ultimatum?

Dario’s POV

The past month has been quiet with no attacks from the packs and no news about any drawing danger, but I wasn't settled so I decided to hold a meeting.

During my arrival at the meeting the councilmen stood on their feet, to display their formal greetings and they returned to their positions once I took my seat.

“I’m sure you all are aware why this meeting is being held,”I said. ”It is about the attack laid on our pack, and something needs to be done to stop any future attacks.”

“We had handled the past attack perfectly so why—“ The eldest of the councilmen spoke but I caught him short. “We need to be alert. We know these people wouldn’t just give up, they would return.”

“So what do you suggest we do?” One of the councilmen asked.

“We plan!” I said. “We strategize, we have to keep every man on the lookout, beyond the pack and within the pack.”

“For how long are we going to do so?”
