Sienna

The rest of the drive home felt like sitting inside a pressure cooker.

My dad kept glancing at me from the corner of his eye, like he was waiting for me to slip, waiting for a crack in my expression.

I stared out the window, replaying Kendra’s voice, the backyard scramble, Jaxon ducking down in his car.

My heart still hadn’t recovered.

When we pulled into the driveway, he turned off the engine but didn’t move.

“Where were you when I arrived?” he asked finally.

I blinked slowly, keeping my voice level.

“At Kendra’s… sleeping. Like I said.”

He stared hard, searching my face.

“You looked… flushed.”

My stomach flipped.

I forced a shrug.

“I literally woke up minutes before you came. My hair was everywhere. I was annoyed. What did you expect me to look like?”

Silence.

Then he opened the door and stepped out without another word.

I followed, keeping my expression blank until the moment my door closed behind me.

Inside the house, I went straight to my room.

Straight to the bed.

SiennaI stared at Liam’s post for so long that the screen dimmed twice and the phone nearly slipped out of my fingers. My heart thudded in this strange, uneven rhythm — part panic, part embarrassment, part something I really didn’t want to name.#BackTogether? Why would he post that? Why would he even joke about that?My stomach twisted so sharply I had to set the phone aside, like touching it burned.A knock tapped against my bedroom door.“Sienna?” Mom’s voice floated in, warm but distracted — probably holding laundry or her laptop or both. “Dinner in twenty. And your stepbrother called earlier. Said he’ll try again tonight.”My throat tightened. “Okay. Thanks.”She closed the door without looking too closely. Good. Because if she had, she would’ve seen right through me — the panic, the confusion, the guilt that was slowly crawling up my spine.I lay back on my bed, staring at the ceiling. My room felt too small. Too warm. Too loud, even in silence.Jaxon would call. He’d want deta

SiennaI looked down the hall where Liam had disappeared, trying to convince myself it didn’t matter. But every step he took, every casual flip of his hair, left a tiny ripple in my chest I couldn’t ignore.Kendra nudged me. “You’re staring like a lovesick cartoon character. Are you okay?”“I’m fine,” I said, too quickly, too sharply. She raised an eyebrow. “Yeah… sure. Totally fine. Until your ex-ghost-boyfriend comes back to haunt you during math class.”I groaned. “Ex-ghost-boyfriend? Really?”“Mm-hmm. And also? Your real-life boyfriend is going to ask questions. Big, angry, probably destructive questions.”I tried to imagine Jaxon storming down the hall. My stomach clenched, heat rushing to my cheeks. And of course, I couldn’t deny it — the thought of him, protective and intense, made something flutter in my chest too. Part fear, part excitement, part… something else entirely.“Look,” Kendra said, grabbing my shoulder and forcing me to face her, “you’re basically standing on the e

SiennaKendra walked me to my locker like she was escorting a witness into a crime scene.“Do you realize what just happened?” she whispered, eyes wild. “Do you UNDERSTAND? Because I don’t think you do.”I shoved my books inside my locker. “Kendra—”“Sienna, that boy said he MISSED YOU FOR YEARS.” She clutched my arm. “Years. Plural. As in… he spent all that time thinking about tiny middle-school you with braces and too-big sweatshirts.”I groaned. “Oh my God, can you stop? Please?”“No. Because JAXON IS GOING TO KILL HIM.”My heart stuttered.I hated how one name could flip my entire world.Jaxon.My boyfriend. My stepbrother. My everything. The thought of him hit my chest so hard I actually had to breathe through it.Kendra saw my face and immediately softened. “Hey… hey, relax. I’m joking.”“No, you’re not,” I muttered.Because she wasn’t.Jaxon wasn’t the jealous, controlling type — thank God — but he was protective in a way that could be… intense. And Liam showing up out of nowhe

SiennaMum dropped me off at school, giving me one of those soft smiles that always makes me feel like a little kid again.“You’ll be fine,” she said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.I nodded, even though I wasn’t sure what exactly I needed to be “fine” about. The moment I stepped out of the car, I spotted Kendra waiting like she owned the entire walkway. Arms crossed. Foot tapping. Eyes locked on me like she had been rehearsing something to say.“There you are,” she said, grabbing my arm left and right. Before I could even breathe, she linked our arms together and dragged me into the school. “Madam, how was your night after your romantic movie-scene moment with Jaxon?”I groaned. “Kendra, stop.”“No,” she said, completely serious. “Because the way that boy was staring at you yesterday? Girl, he looked like he was about to devour you raw.”“Kendra!” I practically whispered-shouted.She didn’t care. Obviously.“And don’t pretend you didn’t like it,” she added, raising her brows

SiennaMy phone buzzed almost instantly after I sent the ridiculous “babies” message.I covered my face with my pillow, already cringing-laughing at myself. Then his reply came through:Jaxon: Babies?? 😂😂 Wow. Straight to the final boss level, huh?I giggled, biting my lip.Jaxon: You sure you can handle mini versions of me running around? They’ll break your house.I replied fast:Sienna: I’ll return them to sender. He sent a row of laughing emojis.Jaxon: Too late. I already like the idea.My stomach flipped. I kicked my feet under my blanket.Sienna: Goodnight, crazy person.Jaxon: Goodnight, future baby mama.I screamed into my pillow — quietly — then tossed my phone aside and buried myself under my sheets, smiling like someone who had inhaled too much happiness.Eventually, I drifted off.Warm. Full. Safe.Sunlight slipped through my curtains, soft and warm on my face when I woke up the next morning. I stretched, still smiling from the night before. For the first time in weeks,

  • We shouldn’t be doing this, Step-brother   Chapter 192: Blushing in the Rain

SiennaAfter we cleaned up and dressed up, Jaxon drove me home slowly, the rain still tapping gently on the windshield. The car smelled faintly of his cologne and the wet leather seats, and I could feel my cheeks heating every time he glanced at me, the corner of his lips twitching into that soft, knowing smile. When we pulled up in front of my house, I fumbled with my seatbelt, blushing from how hot the two rounds of sex we just had was, I could still feel how hard his dick was going in and out of my pussy. He looked over at me, eyes dark and teasing. “You okay?”I nodded, trying to play it cool, but my lips betrayed me with a small, nervous smile.“Yeah… I’m fine,” I mumbled. He laughed softly, low and warm, and reached over to squeeze my hand before I opened the door. “Text me when you get inside safely.”I nodded again, heart racing. “I will.”I got out and waved at him. The way he looked at me in the rearview mirror made my stomach flip again. And then, just like that, he drove
