"What were you fighting against that you had to form a temporary alliance to defeat it?"

It's truly strange and very concerning that to battle off something, three species of dark creatures that have only ever truly despised each other had to form a temporary alliance. What was so powerful that just one of them wasn't enough to defeat it? What had caused such great panic that all the rulers had to leave their kingdom in care of a child and rush to the battlefields themselves?

I'm in no way insulting the capabilities of my mate but it's truly frightening to even think of that there was something that required a vampire, witch and lycan to band together to vanquish it.
