When We First Met

A white she-wolf was out on a run. For as long as she remembered, she had been abused.

Her father hated her just for existing. He and a few other male pack members would torture her, abuse her in every way. This has been happening since her mother, the Luna of the pack, died when she was a little child with no sense of what was happening.

It started a few months after her sixth birthday. At first, it was more of a physical assault, but soon it turned mental and emotional, and then a time came when it started coming even in a sexual way. That's what terrifies her to no end. She wasn't able to find an escape from it all. Her pack members knew, but they couldn't do a thing; after all, who could go against the Alpha? She still remembered every single detail of what they did, how they touched her and what they made her go through. She felt disgusted, but she could never be able to protest, or he would hurt someone she cared for dearly, though there are not many of those people left. She couldn't remember who in that pack honestly even cared for her; they seemed to enjoy her torment at the hands of her very father, the person who was supposed to love and protect her from all the harm.

Remembering and revelling in it is all she could ever be able to do. Even if she's far from it now, it doesn't mean that she can leave it behind just as easily; forgetting such trauma is not really possible; all you could do is try to take that next step. Try to get by it day by day. Those memories remain so fresh in your mind; those touches leave a taint on you, a horrible invisible mark that you can never wipe out. It always remains, and it always reminds you of the dark times, even if you do not wish to be reminded. Who would actually like to be reminded of it? That's crazy.

She was lying on the ground, too weak to do anything. A baggy shirt that reached her knees covered her. She knew the torture was to come and it was to come soon, but it never came in the way she didn't expect. Though there was not much left for her to expect. The doors to her chambers opened, and she came face to face with her torturer. A well-built guy who looked more like a jock and was muscular. Whimpers left her lips, and she cowered behind in fear. His steps led him towards her. The fear so very evident in her eyes and amusement in his. After making sure the door was locked. He went closer to her. He whipped her with whips covered in wolfsbane.

"You are nothing but a piece of worthless trash!"

Whip!

"You shouldn't have been born!"

Whip!

"You are nothing but a burden to everyone around you!"

Whip!

"Even your mate would reject you when they see how worthless and useless you are!"

Whip!

He went ahead and tortured her further with his words and whiplashes. The words not only caused emotional pain but also somewhat physical pain. Her head hurt like hell. Hearing the words for so long had her starting to believe them. The whips did no justice. She screamed in pain every time the whip made contact with the skin of her back and legs. She screamed until she couldn't scream anymore. But that didn't stop the assault of her torturer; it continued even when she writhed in pain. It continued until she faded into the black abyss and lost all consciousness. It was one of the worse days that she was enduring. But knew the next wouldn't get any better.

There was nothing she could do; even this was her hellhole that she can't seem to escape anytime soon. Being the Alpha's daughter had done nothing but increase this torture, for even their Alpha seemed to hate her.

*Flashback Over*

*Trigger Over*

I ran at my full speed with tears running down my cheeks. Even the mere thought of those days filled me with dread and fear; I could never control my tears when it happened. Just then an intoxicating smell hit me. Soon, I came face to face with a black wolf with green eyes.

'Mate!!' My wolf screamed in my head.

I didn't know what to do. I was scared! What if he is just like my pack members? I did the first thing that came to my mind!

I ran.

I ran from my mate. There was a river nearby; I jumped in it, letting it mask my scent. I let it carry me away, away from my fears and my mate! I may be the stupidest wolf in all history to run from my mate, but with the kind of life I've lived! This was something I couldn't stop myself from doing. Will I ever find my mate again?
